2015 Radio Disney Music Awards Attracts Family Friendly Marquee Sponsors American Girl®, BAND-AID® Brand, Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores, KIDZ BOP, Moose Toys Shopkins and nab

The 2015 Radio Disney Music Awards (RDMA), music’s biggest event for families and last year’s #1 televised music awards show among youth demographics, has attracted family friendly marquee sponsors American Girl®, BAND-AID® Brand, Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores, KIDZ BOP, Moose Toys Shopkins and nabi®. Sponsorships will include multi-platform initiatives, reaching RDMA audiences across digital, broadcast and social platforms. The event takes place SATURDAY, APRIL 25 at Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE. The next day, Sunday, April 26 (7:30 p.m., ET/PT), a 30-minute pre-show originating from the red carpet and a 90-minute awards show telecast will be presented on Disney Channels U.S. and WATCH Disney Channel app. The telecast will also be presented on Disney Channels around the world.

BAND-AID Brand® and nabi are also sponsoring the Macon, Georgia and Houston, Texas stops of “On the Road to the RDMAs,” a five-city live event tour for families that features performances by top Radio Disney artists. The road show culminates in a free RDMA Pre-Show Festival that will take place in Nokia Plaza (at Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE) in the hours leading up to the awards show.

Radio Disney to Announce Nominees for the 2015 Radio Disney Music Awards in New Television Special Friday, February 27 on Disney Channel

For the first time ever, the broadcast nominees for the 2015 Radio Disney Music Awards (RDMA) will be announced in a televised special, “Disney Channel Presents the 2015 RDMA Nomination Special,” FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 27 (7:00-7:30 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel. The special event, hosted by the Radio Disney on-air team, will feature appearances by Nick Jonas, Jessie J, Meghan Trainor, Olly Murs, Becky G, Sabrina Carpenter, Fifth Harmony, Echosmith, Jessica Sanchez, Jacquie Lee and more. All categories and nominees will be highlighted on “Radio Disney’s 2015 RDMA Nomination Special,” a two-hour on-air programming feature that will air SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 28 (5:00-7:00 p.m. ET / 2:00-4:00 p.m. PT) on Radio Disney.

“Family-appealing, music-focused programming is central to our success, and as we seek to extend it to meet our viewer consumption habits and our client’s demands, we are uniquely positioned to leverage the natural synergies we have throughout Disney,” said Phil Guerini, VP, Programming and General Manager, Radio Disney. He continued, “Our audience utilizes every media platform and new technology to discover and listen to music, and the RDMAs are a fully-immersive, true multi-media event.”

Online voting for all categories will open immediately following the special at Disney.com/RDMA until Sunday, April 5.

2015 Radio Disney Music Awards Set for Saturday, April 25 at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live

The 2015 Radio Disney Music Awards (RDMA), music’s biggest event for families, is set for SATURDAY, APRIL 25 at Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles. Now in its third year, the show will feature performances by some of the biggest artists in music and the presentation of the uniquely Radio Disney “ARDY” statuettes as voted on by fans globally. A 90-minute televised special and a 30-minute pre-show, including red-carpet arrivals, will be presented Sunday, April 26 on Disney Channel. Highlights will also be available on Radio Disney, the Radio Disney App, the Disney Channel WATCH app and RadioDisney.com.

Radio Disney Stars, Becky G, Shawn Mendes, Bea Miller and R5 to Perform at FREE Rock the Red Kettle Concert at L.A. LIVE in Downtown Los Angeles

It’s time to get those bells rocking and ringing this holiday season during the fifth annual Rock the Red Kettle concert hosted by The Salvation Army and produced by Ned Specktor of Specktor Media. This year’s free concert, which will take place on December 6 at 5 p.m. PST at L.A. LIVE in Downtown Los Angeles, will also be streamed live on RedKettleReason.org. Taking the stage at L.A. LIVE are some of music’s rising stars including headliners Shawn Mendes and Becky G.

This year, The Salvation Army is encouraging its supporters to share their motivations for giving using the hashtag #RedKettleReason, whether it is to help families in need or to ensure that all kids have a safe place to sleep. This year’s Rock the Red Kettle performers will participate by sharing their own #RedKettleReasons throughout the holiday season and inviting their fans to do the same. Fans can also win awesome prizes for sharing #RedKettleReasons in the weeks before the concert. The Army is partnering with Teen Vogue to give fans the chance to enter to win a retweet from their favorite performers, a trip to L.A. to attend the concert or even the chance to meet some of the artists before the show. RADIO DISNEY MUSIC AWARDS DELIVERS 3.2 MILLION TOTAL VIEWERS AND NEARLY 2 MILLION KIDS 6-14

In a rousing television debut, “Disney Channel Presents the Radio Disney Music Awards” (RDMAs) – a celebration of music for kids and families – delivered 3.2 million Total Viewers and ranked as the #1 primetime TV telecast of April 2014 across all major youth demographics – Kids 2-11 (1.7 million/4.3 rating), Kids 6-11 (1.4 million/6.0 rating), Kids 6-14 (1.9 million/5.4 rating), Tweens 9-14 (1.4 million/5.6 rating) and Teens 12-17 (683,000/2.8 rating). It was also the #1 telecast across all TV for the month in Girls 2-11 (1.1 million/5.8 rating), Girls 6-11 (947,000/8.1 rating), Girls 6-14 (1.3 million/7.2 rating) and Girls 9-14 (877,000/7.4 rating). The event is in its second year. The event’s first-time television special was presented Sunday, April 27 (8:00-9:30 p.m.).

The Radio Disney Music Awards ranked in the Top 10 relevant tweets for the week of April 21, according to Nielsen SocialGuide.
