Disney Channel stars are getting ready for their big night to the Radio Disney Music Awards.
For the award show’s second year, young starlets from Disney XD including Olivia Holt, Spencer Boldman and Peyton List gave EOnline behind-the-scene previews of what they’ll be wearing on the red carpet this weekend.
Ariana Grande (Republic Records), Austin Mahone (Republic Records), Becky G (RCA/Kemosabe Records), Zendaya (Hollywood Records), R5 (Hollywood Records) and Fifth Harmony (Epic Records) are scheduled to perform at the 2014 Radio Disney Music Awards (RDMAs), taking place Saturday, April 26 at Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE. “Disney Channel Presents The Radio Disney Music Awards,” a television special originating from the event, will be presented Sunday, April 27 (8:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel.

One Direction, Austin Mahone, Katy Perry, Justin Timberlake, Taylor Swift, Zendaya, Fifth Harmony, Ariana Grande, Becky G, Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato are among the nominees announced today for the 2014 Radio Disney Music Awards. Categories reflect the music and artists abuzz among kids age 6-14, and range from “They’re the One – Best Music Group” and “That’s My Jam – Best Song To Rock Out To With Your BFF” to “The Buzz – Breakout Artist of the Year” and “The Bestest – Song of The Year.”
Voting will begin Friday, February 28 (7:30 a.m., ET) through Sunday, April 6 at Disney.com/RDMA and via Radio Disney’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram profiles, or by texting RDMA to Disney (347639).
Winners will be announced at the Radio Disney Music Awards, a live event featuring musical performances and today’s hottest stars among youth, Saturday, April 26 at Nokia Theatre L.A. The 2014 Radio Disney Music Awards (RDMA), the prime awards show for kids and families’ favorite music, will take place SATURDAY, APRIL 26 at Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE, it was announced today. Rapper Becky G, an RCA/Kemosabe Records artist and Radio Disney “N.B.T.” (Next Big Thing), helped make the announcement on Radio Disney’s “Morgan & Maddy in the Morning.” The music awards show will be presented as a one-hour TV special “Disney Channel Presents the Radio Disney Music Awards” on SUNDAY, APRIL 27 (8:00 p.m., ET/PT). Scheduled performers include Becky G, Epic Records’ Fifth Harmony and Hollywood Records’ R5. The headlining act plus more artists will be announced at a later date. The event will be preceded by a seven-city live-event tour for kids and families, “On The Road to the RDMAs.”
Tickets for the event, which will feature the most popular young recording artists and stars as heard on Radio Disney, go on sale today, Thursday, January 23 at AXS.com.
