MAIN STREET ELECTRICAL PARADE EXTENDED BY POPULAR DEMAND AT DISNEYLAND PARK

Main Street Electrical Parade has returned to the place it began, and today we’re excited to share – due to popular demand – this iconic parade will continue lighting up the night at Disneyland® Park through Aug. 20, 2017. The parade has delighted our Guests since its return in January, and the limited-time engagement is being extended with encore performances so even more will be able to enjoy its nostalgic magic this summer.

A classic Disney Parks nighttime parade, the Main Street Electrical Parade began at Disneyland Park in 1972 and ended its initial run in 1996. It returned to the Disneyland Resort as Disney’s Electrical Parade, bringing magical Disney stories to Disney California Adventure® Park from 2001 until 2010, when it crossed the country to begin its run at Walt Disney World® Resort.

Your can catch this limited-time engagement of Main Street Electrical Parade at Disneyland Park through Aug. 20, 2017!

Atlanta Braves Finish 20th Season of Spring Training at Disney

With a 2-2 tie against the New York Mets on Wednesday, March 29, the Atlanta Braves wrapped up their 20th season of spring training at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort.

The Braves finished spring training with an 8-22 record. Their 2017 spring season was highlighted by marquee matchups against 2016 playoff teams, including the Blue Jays, American League East champion Boston Red Sox, Baltimore Orioles and the New York Mets.

This season, more than 120,000 fans filled the seats of Champion Stadium for Braves spring training games at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, up from 103,000 fans in 2016.

When the sports complex opened on March 28th, 1997, the first event was a Braves spring training game against the Cincinnati Reds. The Braves would go on to beats the Red, 9-7, in front of a sell-out crowd at Champion Stadium of 10,000.

Disney character appearances and special moments such as kids running the bases after every game are some of the in-game entertainment opportunities that make Braves spring training at Disney a unique experience, which will continue through 2018.

The Braves are now focused on the regular season, which they will play in their new stadium, Sun Trust Park. Atlanta and first-year head coach Brian Snitker are looking to improve on their 5th-place finish in the NL East in 2016, where they posted a 68-93 record.

ROGUE ONE-A Star Wars Story REVIEW

Feeling like THE FORCE is strong in your life?  If so, then you will love the Lucasfilm adventure ROGUE ONE-A Star Wars Story, now on Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital HD. This feature film takes place before the original 1977 movie, Star Wars: Episode IV- A New Hope. (Those of us who can remember seeing this in theaters in 1977 may still refer to this as the first Star Wars movie).  ROGUE ONE follows a group of rebels on a mission to steal the plans for the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon.  Felicity Jones plays Jyn Erso, a powerful young woman who will do whatever it takes to get the job done.  She isn’t a fragile little flower waiting for the men in the rebellion to save her.  Girl power is in full effect here. She and Rey from Star Wars-The Force Awakens are awesome role models for young fans of the Star Wars films. The movie has all of the action and adventure, and even humor, that we have come to expect from the franchise. We meet some new characters like Cassian the Spy, K-2SO the Droid, and my favorites, Baze and Chirrut the Guardians of the Whills. Can’t wait to see the Cosplay world bring them to life!  ROGUE ONE blends perfectly into the Star Wars world. Be sure to watch the bonus features so see behind the scenes footage, interviews with the cast and crew, and some technical feats that bring original characters to life with new actors. Truly amazing!  Fans will love all of the connections to the other Star Wars movies and the animated series. ROGUE ONE-A Star Wars Story is a mission that you just cannot miss.
