A Path Less Traveled – Disney’s Animal Kingdom 20th Anniversary Tour

As a part of the 20th anniversary celebration of Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park, you can get an insider’s look at some of the ways we bring the magic of nature to life in a new limited-time experience called A Path Less Traveled – Disney’s Animal Kingdom 20th Anniversary tour. This collection of experiences will take you backstage to tour the vet hospital and Animal Nutrition Center, perform a nest check on a purple martin birdhouse as part of a Disney’s conservation project, gaze at some of the park’s largest inhabitants during Caring for Giants and end the day with VIP viewing of Rivers of Light.

A Path Less Traveled will be offered daily from April 1-May 5, 2018. Tours can be booked in advance for $59 per person, plus tax, by calling 407-WDW-PLAY (407- 939-7529). Guests should check in on the day of their experience at the Curiosity Animal Tours kiosk in Africa by 10:30 a.m.

First Look at Toy Story Land’s Alien Swirling Saucers Coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios

With blockbuster expansion continuing at Disney’s Hollywood Studios®, they’re rolling out the red carpet for the new Toy Story Land opening this summer. You will get to play big in Andy’s backyard and also get to ride big on two family-friendly attractions planned for the new land and one popular fan favorite.

Here’s a first glimpse at the latest artwork for one of them – Alien Swirling Saucers.

Once the aliens have powered up their flying saucers, you will get to climb into a toy rocket and hang on as aliens lead the way on an interstellar romp set to an out-of-this-world beat. And if you’re really lucky, you just might get “chosen” by the claw!

In response to questions they have been receiving, they also want to let you know that the Disney’s Hollywood Studios name will remain the same for the foreseeable future since we are immersing you in a place where imagined worlds of Hollywood unfold around them from movies and music, to television and theater.

Journey Behind the Scenes of Disney’s New Broadway Musical, Frozen, with Disney Twenty-Three

This winter, audiences will be able to experience the worldwide phenomenon that is Frozen in a completely new way when Frozen: The Broadway Musical opens in New York City. Disney twenty-three spoke exclusively with the company bringing this magnificent musical to the stage, including the Tony® Award-winning creative team of Michael Grandage, Kristen Anderson-Lopez, Robert Lopez, Rob Ashford, and Christopher Oram and its stars Caissie Levy (Elsa) and Patti Murin (Anna). The group spoke about their excitement for expanding the show’s story, score, and characters—including a dazzling, all-new opening number.

This month, Black Panther hits theaters, and director Ryan Coogler and executive producer Nate Moore whisk readers off to Wakanda to get the inside story behind the making of the thrilling Marvel film. Disney twenty-three also visited the set of A Wrinkle in Time, speaking with director Ava DuVernay about her dazzling adaptation of the exhilarating adventure which opens this March.

The Walt Disney Company Reports First Quarter Earnings for Fiscal 2018

The Walt Disney Company (NYSE: DIS) today reported quarterly earnings for its first fiscal quarter ended December 30, 2017. Diluted earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter increased 88% to $2.91 from $1.55 in the prior-year quarter. Excluding a $1.6 billion one-time net tax benefit associated with new U.S. federal income tax legislation (Tax Act) and certain other items affecting comparability(1), EPS for the quarter increased 22% to $1.89 from $1.55 in the prior-year quarter.
