Foodie Guide to the 2018 Disney Festival of Holidays at Disney California Adventure Park

It’s BACK – Disney Festival of Holidays returns to Disney California Adventure® Park on Nov. 9, 2018 with music, dance, and diverse cultural festivities. Your Clients can also enjoy the Festive Foods Marketplace featuring 12 delicious destinations and lots of good cheer!

Your Clients can even grab a Disney Festival of Holidays Tasting Passport at any of the marketplaces to guide them on their yummy holiday journey. As they visit each marketplace, they can get their passport stamped and when they’ve filled their passport, they’ll get a special completion stamp!

In addition, available for all Guests is the Sip and Savor Pass, which gives them the opportunity to taste your way through their choice of eight different dishes or non-alcoholic beverages from participating Festive Food Marketplaces. This pass can be purchased at various locations throughout the park, including Festival Merchandise Carts, Seaside Souvenirs, Kingswell Camera Shop, and Rushin’ River Outfitters.

Miguel Joins A Musical Celebration of ‘Coco’ As Plaza de la Familia Returns to Disney California Adventure Park

Now through Nov. 4, 2018, you are invited to bring your friends and family to Disney California Adventure® Park to experience Plaza de la Familia, our special seasonal festivity celebrating Disney•Pixar’s “Coco” and the everlasting bonds of family.

New this year, Miguel joins “A Musical Celebration of Coco.” Presented several times daily, this entertaining street show brings together the traveling Storytellers of Plaza de la Familia. Singing host Mateo is joined by the GRAMMY® Award-winning Mariachi Divas, authentic Folklórico dancers and townspeople from Coco’s Land of the Dead. The performers engage their audience with beloved songs from the film, transporting everyone into the story of Miguel’s fantastical journey as seen in “Coco,” and Miguel himself appears in the form of a whimsical, hand-animated dimensional figure.

“A Musical Celebration of Coco” is only part of the fun at Plaza de la Familia. From the iconic Mexican Árbol de la Vida (Tree of Life) photo location to the new craft activity where your Clients can design their own paper alebrije mask of the characters Dante or Pepita, Plaza de la Familia fills the Paradise Gardens area of the park with live entertainment, delicious food, crafts and interactive experiences. Guests won’t want to miss it!

Enjoy the Spirit of Día de los Muertos This Fall at Disneyland Resort

This fall, your Clients are invited to visit Disneyland® Resort for the return of special seasonal experiences in both parks inspired by the spirit of Día de los Muertos.

At Disney California Adventure® Park, Disney•Pixar’s Academy Award-winning hit film “Coco” is at the heart of Plaza de la Familia, a limited-time festivity at Paradise Gardens. Families visiting Plaza de la Familia can share meaningful memories of loved ones at the interactive Memory Wall, enjoy the iconic Mexican Árbol de la Vida (Tree of Life) photo location and take part in a new mask-making craft that depicts an alejibre (spirit guide) from the film “Coco.” Your Clients will find themselves drawn to the immersive art exhibit The World of “Coco,” the emotional Mariachi music performed on the bandstand and the delicious Mexican food menu at Paradise Gardens Grill.

Several times daily, the uplifting show A Musical Celebration of Coco brings together the Storytellers of Plaza de la Familia and the Grammy-award winning Mariachi Divas for a festive show of music and dance that tells the incredible story of young Miguel’s journey as seen in “Coco.” New this year, this charming troupe of singers and authentic Folklórico dancers is joined by Miguel, brought to life in a whimsical, hand-crafted style inspired by traditional Mexican folk art.

Also at Disney California Adventurepark, your Clients can visit Cars Land, where an ofrenda (a remembrance altar) pays tribute to Doc Hudson (aka, the Fabulous Hudson Hornet). Look for it at Ramone’s House of Body Art, just down Route 66!

Over at Disneyland Park, Zócalo Park in Frontierland is decked out with an elaborate and colorful display in honor of Día de los Muertos. This immersive setting features beautiful marigolds and papel picado throughout the installation, along with a traditional ofrenda, calaveras (sugar skulls), an iconic figure of La Catrina and delicious food at the nearby Rancho del Zócalo.

These special experiences inspired by Día de los Muertos take place Sept. 7-Nov. 2, 2018 at Disneyland Park.

Bing Bong’s Sweet Stuff Now Open in Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure Park

Bing Bong’s Sweet Stuff — the delightful, whimsical merchandise and confectionery location—is now open along Pixar Pier atDisney California Adventure® Park!

Upon entering, you will notice Bing Bong, the fluffy pink, imaginary friend from the Disney•Pixar film “Inside Out,” bursting out of the marquee, welcoming them to his treasure trove of sweets!

Bing Bong’s Sweet Stuff will offer Guests a scrumptious selection candies, saltwater taffy, rainbow cotton candy, caramel apples, as well as fun Pixar souvenirs, apparel and accessories!

The newly reimagined Pixar Pier features the beloved stories of Pixar through exciting attractions, imaginative neighborhoods and food locations all inspired by Pixar films.

Join Some of Your Favorite Characters for a Pixar Pals Dance Party During Pixar Fest at Disneyland Park

The first-ever Pixar Fest is taking place all across the Disneyland® Resort, bringing the playful spirit of Pixar to life in a celebration of friendship and beyond, and we keep adding to the fun!

Each evening, you are invited to drop in at Tomorrowland Terrace in Disneyland Park for the Pixar Pals Dance Party.  As they hit the dance floor, a DJ keeps things hopping. And you could find themselves groovin’ alongside Mike and Sulley from “Monsters, Inc.,” Woody and Jessie from “Toy Story,” or even some Green Army Men getting a little R&R. The party gets going nightly at 7 p.m. and continues through 10:30 p.m.

With the Pixar Pals Dance Party, “Pixar Play Parade,” “Paint the Night” parade, “Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular” and so much more, you will want to check out everything going on during Pixar Fest, now through Sept. 3, 2018 at Disneyland Resort!

Pixar Pier Now Open to Guests at Disney California Adventure Park

Pixar Pier, the reimagined land along the shores of Paradise Bay in Disney California Adventure® Park, is now open! Here’s a look what’s in store for your Clients when they visit Pixar Pier!

As Guests enter Pixar Pier, they’ll pass under the dazzling marquee. On the right hand side, the new Lamplight Lounge is a stylish, fun place to hang out with the whole family. Lamplight Lounge serves a new menu of California casual gastro-pub cuisine that is playfully presented, along with unique signature cocktails.

On the other side, Knick’s Knacks offers an assortment of goodies and souvenirs based on Pixar film favorites.

At Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats, your Clients can enjoy cones and cups with tasty towering soft serve, available in chocolate, vanilla, and non-dairy lemon, as well as specialty treats like the Pixar Pier Parfait and the It’s Snow-Capped Lemon.

At Incredibles Park, the inviting plaza features mid-century modern design aesthetics. Anchoring the area is the new Incredicoaster, a thrilling adventure with “The Incredibles!”

Adjacent to Incredibles Park is Toy Story Boardwalk, a neighborhood that includes the popular Toy Story Mania!, with Jessie’s Critter Carousel coming in 2019. And there’s soem fabulous food spots, including Señor Buzz Churros and Poultry Palace!

The charming Pixar Promenade celebrates the heartwarming stories and beloved characters from all of Pixar’s films. Your Clients can test their skills and win a prize at the Games of the Boardwalk, listen to music and meet favorite Pixar characters at the classic band-shell stage or take a spin around Pixar Pal-A-Round. And later this summer, they can discover the treasure trove of candies, souvenirs and trinkets at Bing Bong’s Sweet Stuff.

The fourth neighborhood in Pixar Pier is Inside Out Headquarters. And as we announced last week, the whimsical family-friendly Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind will debut in 2019!
