We know that Disney Imagineers are the best at adding small details to everything they create and most guests go on about their Walt Disney World/Disneyland vacations without every paying attention to so many hidden tidbits.
Well I think I have found my favorite one ever inside a Disney Park. This one is located inside Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios – Slinky Dog Dash.

Mickey Mouse’s new birthday portrait was revealed today at San Diego Comic-Con. Titled “Spreading Happiness Around the World,” the painting by legendary Walt Disney Animation Studios animator Mark Henn honors Mickey’s 90th anniversary. The unveiling of the new work—the latest in a longstanding series of Mickey birthday portraits—took place during the panel “Celebrating 90 Years of Mickey Mouse with D23: The Official Disney Fan Club.”
Since his big-screen debut in Steamboat Willie on November 18, 1928, Mickey has been the global ambassador for The Walt Disney Company. From the beloved Mickey Mouse Club to today’s Mickey Mouse cartoon shorts, Mickey’s optimistic outlook and endearing personality continue to delight fans around the world every day. D23 and the Walt Disney Archives, in partnership with Walt Disney Animation Studios, commissioned Henn to paint Mickey’s official birthday portrait. Henn follows in the footsteps of artists such as Disney Legend John Hench, who crafted five of Mickey’s official portraits.
“It is one of the great honors of my career to be asked to paint Mickey’s 90th birthday portrait,” says Henn. “I was greatly inspired by the portraits painted by John Hench. I wanted to capture some of the same style and sense of youth that John achieved in his portraits.” The painting will appear on the Fall 2018 cover ofDisney twenty-three, the quarterly publication sent exclusively to Gold Members of D23.

As always, guests should keep their eyes open for dancing ghosts, the Headless Horseman, plus Mickey Mouse, Peter Pan and many more beloved Disney Characters in the Mickey’s “Boo-To-You” Halloween Parade. And each night during the party, the skies above an eerily lit Cinderella Castle come alive during Happy HalloWishes, a magical fireworks extravaganza that definitely goes bump in the night!

Pizzafari, one of the most popular quick-service restaurants at Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park, serving up freshly baked pizzas and delicious Italian-inspired eats has a new exciting offering coming this summer! Starting July 31, 2018, you will be able to choose between a classic quick-service experience or making a reservation for the brand-new Pizzafari Family-Style Dining Experience.
To get ready for an Italian feast set in one of the restaurant’s wildly vibrant dining rooms, you will need to stop by the podium to check in upon arrival. After placing the drink orders, you will be seated in one of two dining rooms that have been designated for this new experience. Once seated, enjoy a selection of family-style plates delivered right to the table: two appetizers (Caprese Salad and Caesar Salad), as well as three entrees, including pasta, chicken, and pizza dishes, and end the meal with a sweet dessert!

Over the last couple of weeks, Toy Story Land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios has become a huge hit with Disney fans and theme park goers.

This year, unwrap a holiday adventure for the whole family: a cruise aboard the Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Dream or Disney Fantasy, all decked out with holiday cheer.

On Thanksgiving Day, guests will enjoy a bountiful Thanksgiving Day feast and visits from Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse dressed in traditional Thanksgiving attire. On Christmas morning at the atrium lobby tree, Santa Claus and his helpers will have a surprise for all the kids, and guests will delight in a special musical performance from the children. A traditional Christmas dinner will be served that night in the dining rooms.
Christmas services will be held on Christmas Day with a midnight mass on Christmas Eve. Hanukkah services will be held each day, Dec. 2 to Dec. 10.
When the ships stop at Disney’s private island in the Bahamas, Castaway Cay, during the holidays, the celebration continues with “snow flurries,” a decked-out Christmas tree, Disney character meet-and-greets and holiday island music.
