Foodie Guide to the 2018 Disney Festival of Holidays at Disney California Adventure Park

It’s BACK – Disney Festival of Holidays returns to Disney California Adventure® Park on Nov. 9, 2018 with music, dance, and diverse cultural festivities. Your Clients can also enjoy the Festive Foods Marketplace featuring 12 delicious destinations and lots of good cheer!

Your Clients can even grab a Disney Festival of Holidays Tasting Passport at any of the marketplaces to guide them on their yummy holiday journey. As they visit each marketplace, they can get their passport stamped and when they’ve filled their passport, they’ll get a special completion stamp!

In addition, available for all Guests is the Sip and Savor Pass, which gives them the opportunity to taste your way through their choice of eight different dishes or non-alcoholic beverages from participating Festive Food Marketplaces. This pass can be purchased at various locations throughout the park, including Festival Merchandise Carts, Seaside Souvenirs, Kingswell Camera Shop, and Rushin’ River Outfitters.

MORE MEMORABLE MOMENTS ADDED TO ‘MICKEY’S 90TH SPECTACULAR,’ AIRING SUNDAY, NOV. 4, ON ABC

ABC announced today more stars of music, film and television who will join the celebration of Mickey Mouse on “Mickey’s 90th Spectacular,” airing SUNDAY, NOV. 4 (8:00-10:01 p.m. EST), on The ABC Television Network. The two-hour television event paying tribute to the True Original will feature appearances by Skylar Astin (“Pitch Perfect” franchise, “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”)GRAMMYÒ-nominated singer-songwriter Kelsea Ballerini, actor Miles Brown (ABC’s “black-ish,” “Dancing with the Stars: Juniors”), Anna Camp (“Pitch Perfect” franchise, the upcoming feature film “The Wedding Year”), Josh Gad (Disney’s “Frozen”), Wendi McLendon-Covey (ABC’s “The Goldbergs,” “Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween,” “Bridesmaids”), John Stamos (“Fuller House,” “Grandfathered”) and Sage Steele (host of ESPN’s “SportsCenter”), as well as special musical performances by Luis Fonsi and Tori Kelly.

2019 Epcot International Festival of the Arts Returns in January with 39 Days of Artful Fun

You can kick off 2019 with the return of the Epcot® International Festival of the Arts – a 39-day celebration of visual, culinary and performing arts from around the world. Beginning Jan. 18 and running through Feb. 25, the festival offers artful activities for the entire family, from special entertainment and interactive workshops to immersive art experiences and world-class cuisine.

New in 2019, you can now sing along to your favorite Disney Broadway tunes seven days a week during the popular Disney on Broadway Concert Series, with daily showings at 5:30, 6:45 and 8 p.m.

Each week, different pairs of Disney on Broadway stars will take the America Gardens Theatre stage to sing favorite songs from award-winning Disney on Broadway productions. The lineup will rotate regularly, featuring music from shows such as “The Lion King,” “Frozen” and “Beauty and the Beast”:

  • Kerry Butler (“Beauty and the Beast”) and Kevin Massey (“Tarzan”)
  • Meredith Inglesby (“The Little Mermaid”) and Steve Blanchard (“Beauty and the Beast”)

Pop Eats! will serve up almond frangipane cake with raspberry and chocolate, while red wine-braised short rib with parsnip purée, broccolini, baby tomatoes and aged balsamic will be available at Cuisine Classique.

  • Everyone’s invited to grab a paintbrush and help create a wall mural along World Showcase Plaza.
  • At the Artful Photo Opportunities, Guests can step inside masterworks of art and take photos with friends.
  • The Paint with a Disney Artist program invites Guests to learn under the tutelage of a professional (offered select Fridays and Sundays, including continental breakfast, for an additional fee).
  • Performing artists are scheduled throughout the festival, demonstrating gravity-defying feats of strength, acrobatics and many other skills.
  • International musical and variety acts will share their talents with guests, including the return of Bodh’aktan to the Canada stage and Delta Q, a new group performing in Germany.
  • Guests can join in the fun of Figment’s Brush with the Masters Scavenger Hunt by purchasing a map at select merchandise locations.
  • A variety of workshops led by professionals will teach different artistic techniques, such as floral design, ink and paint, mixed-media art and more (offered Friday-Monday for an additional fee). Captain Marvel Joins Epic Line-Up of Super Heroes Aboard Disney Cruise Line

In 2019, Disney Cruise Line guests will be the first to meet Captain Marvel when she makes her debut during Marvel Day at Sea. For the first time ever, guests will encounter one of the most powerful heroes in the Marvel universe as part of an action-packed, day-long celebration aboard select Disney Magic sailings departing Jan. 6 through March 8 from Miami.

Captain Marvel joins the event’s awesome line-up of Super Heroes and villains, including Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, Thor, Loki, Spider-Man, Black Panther, Doctor Strange and more. Google and Disney launch interactive Little Golden Books that work with Google Home

Today’s kids are too young to remember Disney’s read-along books and records, which combined narration and sounds with physical books to make reading more entertaining. But they may have laid their hands on more modern sound books that have buttons you press at various parts of the story to punctuate the action.

World of Disney Reopens in Grand Style in the Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort

Sprinkled with pixie dust, magical moments and eye-catching collections, the World of Disney store is officially open in the Downtown Disney® District at the Disneyland® Resort! Its sister store at Disney Springs® at Walt Disney World® Resort celebrates its grand reopening tomorrow, Oct. 27, 2018.

The reimagined World of Disney makes shopping easier and more fun. The transformation begins with the store’s exterior, which features new marquees and magical window displays. Inside, guests discover an open atmosphere with uniquely themed areas. Inspiration comes from Walt Disney Animation Studios and legendary animators—with sketches, artwork and posters jumping to life. Let’s not forget the shopping, which includes all the “must-have” Disney merchandise collections.

The grand redesign of World of Disney is just one of the many exciting new experiences part of the promenade-wide transformation of the Downtown Disney District. Other openings include Salt & Straw scoop shop, the newly-renovated upper level of Naples Ristorante e Bar and the upcoming debuts of Ballast Point brewery and Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes.

Ralph and Vanellope Go from Breaking the Internet to Visiting Disney Parks This Fall

Disney’s all-new animated adventure “Ralph Breaks the Internet” is coming to theaters November 21. To celebrate, Ralph and best friend Vanellope von Schweetz are once again venturing beyond Litwak’s arcade for special appearances in Disney Parks.

Beginning November 9, Disneyland® Resort guests will find Ralph and Vanellope in Hollywood Land at Disney California Adventure® park. They’ll also be heading east to Walt Disney World® Resort, where you’ll be able to meet them at Epcot®starting November 21 in Innoventions West.  And a new experiment will soon be underway at the Imagination Institute, creating a portal into other dimensions. This winter, that portal opens a window on the internet for Ralph and Venellope to step through for regular encounters with Epcot guests in the ImageWorks area of the Imagination! pavilion.
