A thrilling and vibrant live-action adaptation of Disney’s animated classic, “Aladdin” is the exciting tale of the charming street rat Aladdin, the courageous and self-determined Princess Jasmine and the Genie who may be the key to their future. Directed by Guy Ritchie, who brings his singular flair for fast-paced, visceral action to the fictitious port city of Agrabah, “Aladdin” is written by John August and Ritchie based on Disney’s “Aladdin.” The film stars Will Smith as the Genie; Mena Massoud as Aladdin; Naomi Scott as Jasmine; Marwan Kenzari as Jafar; Navid Negahban as the Sultan; Nasim Pedrad as Dalia; Billy Magnussen as Prince Anders; and Numan Acar as Hakim. “Aladdin” is produced by Dan Lin, p.g.a., and Jonathan Eirich, p.g.a., with Marc Platt and Kevin De La Noy serving as executive producers. Eight-time Academy Award®-winning composer Alan Menken provides the score, which includes new recordings of the original songs written by Menken and Oscar®-winning lyricists Howard Ashman and Tim Rice and includes two new songs written by Menken and Oscar and Tony Award®-winning songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.

First Look at Disney’s Next Ships – Rendering

The Disney Cruise Line fleet has the most beautiful ships at sea and the three newest vessels setting sail in 2021, 2022 and 2023 will be no exception. This first, early rendering depicts the magnificent exterior of the newest Disney ships that will elevate family cruise vacations to a whole new level.

In keeping with the distinct Disney Cruise Line style, the new ships will embody the elegance and romance of the golden age of ocean cruising with unique touches all their own. The new vessels will offer more innovation, new technologies, spectacular entertainment and more Disney stories and characters than ever before.

Ingenuity and innovation from stem to stern will amaze and delight Disney Cruise Line guests of all ages. Each new ship will be approximately 140,000 gross tons and each is currently planned to include about 1,250 guest staterooms.

Tangaroa Terrace Reopens at the Disneyland Hotel with Tropical New Eats, Dole Whip and More!

Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill has officially reopened at the Disneyland® Hotel at the Disneyland Resort! After an exciting refurbishment, the fast-casual restaurant has a vibrant new look, expanded offerings and is back and serving up made-to-order dishes, signature tiki cocktails, Dole Whip and more!

Tangaroa Terrace, inspired by Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room, is the perfect tropical complement to the mid-century modern architecture of the Disneyland Hotel. This island paradise combines traditional motifs from many Pacific islands such as Hawaii, Tahiti, Fiji, Sumatra and New Guinea. Inside, new décor details feature a colorful tropical mural with “hidden” tiki room birds, bamboo accents, exotic stone countertops and glass fish net float lights, with open air views of the pool. Outdoors, Guests enjoy an expanded new patio with brightly colored rattan lounge chairs, tiki bar stools and a communal table for fun, inviting ways to enjoy sunshine and the island vibes.

Throughout the day, your Clients can snack on freshly prepared hot and cold dishes. For breakfast (served until 11 a.m.), there’s the classic Breakfast Platter with scrambled eggs, bacon, and hash browns or the Breakfast Sandwich with kālua-style pulled pork, fried egg, hash browns, and gravy. Sweet options include the Açai Chia Breakfast Bowl with seasonal fruit and granola and Pineapple Upside Down Pancakes. And, there’s the Tangaroa Toast! This brick toast comes coated in cinnamon sugar, and topped with bananas Foster, whipped cream, bananas, and toasted coconut.

For lunch and dinner, sharable options include dishes such as the Kālua-style Poutine (crispy crinkle fries topped with pork, cheese curds, gravy, pickled onions, and Fresno chiles – YUM) and the Pu Pu Platter. The platter comes with Chili-Garlic Edamame, Pork Gyoza (pork and vegetable pot stickers), Sweet-and-Spicy Chicken Wings, and Panko-crusted Long Beans served with togarashi aïoli; all four can also be ordered individually. Guests can also enjoy the Shipwreck Nachos topped with kālua-style pulled pork, pineapple salsa, hoisin sauce, togarashi aïoli, and barbecue sauce.

Other dishes include a Lentil Garden Bowl with brown rice, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, and onions tossed in coconut curry; the Tangaroa Salad with sautéed shrimp; and an Angus 1/3 lb. Hawaiian Cheeseburger served with grilled pineapple, Applewood-smoked bacon, Havarti cheese, togarashi aïoli, and teriyaki sauce.

Kids can enjoy their own smaller-portioned versions of these tropical bites. For breakfast, the Kid’s Breakfast Platter and the Kid’s Pineapple Upside-Down Pancake are great options. They can even get the Kid’s Mickey-shaped Tangaroa Toast! All three dishes are served with turkey bacon and fresh fruit. For lunch and dinner, the kiddos can munch on a yummy Grilled Salmon Bowl, a Kid’s Cheeseburger, and the ever-so-popular and tasty Chicken Breast Nuggets.

The restaurant also offers a newly-enhanced marketplace for grab-and-go pastries and snacks, specialty coffees, pineapple Dole Whip soft serve, Dole Whip floats and Dole Whip floats with a splash of rum, plus a full bar of island cocktails. Mobile ordering is available at this location as well, so if your Clients are on-the-go, they can enjoy the convenience of ordering and paying for their meal via the Disneyland Resort app without having to wait in line!

Celebrate ‘The Lion King’ This Summer at Disney California Adventure Park

This summer, Disney California Adventure® Park will come alive with a vibrant celebration inspired by Disney’s “The Lion King.”

Throughout the day, a traveling troupe of storytellers will arrive to celebrate “The Lion King” in story, song and dance, inviting everyone to join in. The fun continues with music, colorful craft activities and more, honoring the spirit of Africa.

Director Jon Favreau’s all-new “The Lion King” journeys to the African savanna where a future king must overcome betrayal and tragedy to assume his rightful place on Pride Rock. “The Lion King” roars into theaters July 19, 2019.

Our festive celebration of “The Lion King” will be presented for a limited time this summer at Disney California Adventure Park. Stay tuned  for more details in the weeks ahead.

Party with Pixar Pals as Disney’s Hollywood Studios Celebrates 30 Years

2019 marks the 30th anniversary of Disney’s Hollywood Studios® at Walt Disney World® Resort. And, now more than ever, Disney’s Hollywood Studios is the perfect place to step into the amazing worlds of Pixar stories like “The Incredibles,” “Monsters, Inc.,” “Toy Story,” and very soon, “Cars.”

An Incredible Celebration brings a Municiberg city block from Disney•Pixar’s “Incredibles 2” to life with a hometown celebration honoring the city’s super heroes – and the hero in all of us! You can get caught up in the excitement of “The Super Shindig” featuring Mr. Incredible, Mrs. Incredible and Frozone. They may even find themselves on TV, thanks to the local news crew. “The Super Shindig” is filled with music, dancing, interactive games, and tons of super fun!

The entire area has a great, early-‘60s vibe about it, directly inspired by “The Incredibles.” As Guests explore, they will find fun photo ops, evidence of young Jack-Jack discovering his powers, and super tasty “num num” cookies. And they won’t want to miss The Edna Mode Experience, where after touring a gallery of the famous designer’s super suits, Guests will get to meet Edna Mode herself.

Inside the nearby Walt Disney Presents attraction, you can go on another Pixar adventure when they step through a door to the monster world to say hello to Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan on the Scare Floor of “Monsters, Inc.”

Just around the corner is the all-new Toy Story Land, where you can shrink down to the size of a toy in Andy’s backyard and encounter Buzz Lightyear, Woody and Jessie; get caught up in a game of “Sarge Says” with the Green Army Patrol; or delight in the playfully percussive rhythms of the Green Army Drum Corps.

Starting March 31, 2019, the world of “Cars” comes to Disney’s Hollywood Studios in the form of Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy, a new high-octane show experience that’ll bring Guests face-to-face with the legendary Piston Cup champ.

Reusable Shopping Bags Introduced at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort

Disney Parks is a shopper’s paradise with hundreds of unique stores that offer unforgettable souvenirs and memorable gifts for loved ones. When your Clients visit Disneyland® Resort or Walt Disney World® Resort, they now have a new option for carrying home purchases with the release of colorful reusable shopping bags.

Available for a nominal fee and offered in three sizes, these reusable shopping bags are made of 80% recycled materials, and are similar to reusable bags first introduced at the World of Disney stores last fall. Bags will feature Disney character designs mixed with recognizable icons from Disney Parks.

At Disneyland Resort, Guests will find four bags – one each for Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure® Oark; a bag for Downtown Disney® District and Resort Hotels; and the current World of Disney bag.

At Walt Disney World Resort, there will be seven bags introduced: a bag at each of the four theme parks; a bag for owned-and-operated shops at Disney Springs®; a shared Walt Disney World Resort-inspired bag for Resort Hotels, ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and other merchandise locations; and the existing World of Disney bag.

Offered as an alternative to plastic shopping bags, the addition of reusable bags will help minimize single-use plastic waste across our global operation and are part of our broader efforts to further extend our ongoing commitment to conservation and advance environmental sustainability goals.
