Summertime fun awaits guests at Walt Disney World Resort with a special package just right for preschool families. Beginning May 30 – Aug. 25, 2016, guests can enjoy a three-night, two-day vacation package with theme park tickets starting at $1,021 for a family of three at one of Disney’s All-Star Resorts.

There’s never been a better time to visit Walt Disney World Resort with something new in every corner of our world. Rekindling childhood memories and creating new family traditions are easy at Walt Disney World’s 40-square-mile playground where some 60 attractions and entertainment options are relevant to preschoolers. Here’s what’s new:

• In late spring, Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park has embarked on a historical expansion offering new nighttime experiences sure to delight little ones. The wondrous new Rivers of Light show will take center stage at the park, along with Kilimanjaro Safaris extending into the evening hours, plus a lively nighttime street party filled with food, song and dance, and lots more.

• This Summer at Epcot, youngsters can take in an all-new Frozen-inspired attraction called Frozen Ever After boat ride at the Norway pavilion, or meet Anna and Elsa at the Royal Sommerhus.

• The Force grows even stronger at Disney’s Hollywood Studios with the new Symphony in the Stars Spectacular fireworks show, Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular stage show, Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple, plus meet and greets with iconic characters like Chewbacca at Star Wars: Launch Bay. And kids can make magical memories at several Disney Junior experiences at Disney’s Hollywood Studios including Disney Junior Live on Stage, Play ‘n’ Dine at Hollywood & Vine, and Character Greetings with Doc McStuffins, Sofia the First and Captain Jake.

• Preschoolers can enjoy “Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire” when it premieres this summer at Magic Kingdom. For the first time, contemporary Disney characters Tiana of “Princess and the Frog,” and Rapunzel of “Tangled” co-star with Anna and Elsa of “Frozen,” and a host of Disney characters take to the grandest stage at Walt Disney World Resort. Plus, there’s don’t miss classics including Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin and Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid.

This year, Disney’s Night of Joy will expand, with the concerts being held for the first time ever at ESPN Wide World of Sports Sept. 9-10, 2016 at the Walt Disney World® Resort.

• Sept. 9 – MercyMe, Casting Crowns, Chris Tomlin, Francesca Battistelli, Crowder, Matthew West, Stars Go Dim, Zealand Worship
• Sept. 10 – newsboys, for King & Country, Young & Free, Switchfoot, Red, Thousand Foot Krutch, Tim Timmons

There are more options than ever before with two nights of Contemporary Christian music, ample seating at indoor and outdoor venues and performances on multiple stages.

• A ticket which would include a day at one of the four Walt Disney World Resort theme parks and the concerts for Saturday night – $99 plus tax (in advance); $114 plus tax the day of the show (if available).
• A 2-Day ticket which includes both nights’ concerts, a day at one of the four Walt Disney world Resort theme parks – $119 plus tax (in advance).

“Rivers of Light” at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park

When guests visit Walt Disney World Resort this spring, they can be among the first to discover “Rivers of Light” – the first-ever nighttime show at Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park. Opening April, 22, 2016, “Rivers of Light” features never-before-seen Disneynature footage, grand theatrical imagery, live performances, a soaring original score and innovative special effects. This nighttime spectacle is an experience unlike any other!

Following the extraordinary popularity of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Walt Disney World Resort is unveiling even more Star Wars-themed entertainment at Disney’s Hollywood Studios® beginning April 4, 2016 – including the new Star Wars live entertainment experience “Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away” and The March of the First Order Stormtrooper procession led by Captain Phasma.

And don’t forget about the other recent Star Wars additions that have debuted at the park. The Star Tours – The Adventures Continue attraction now features new characters and planets from the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens film. Star Wars Launch Bay offers families an up-close look at replica props, models, costumes and more from the films, plus the chance to encounter someone from the Rebel Alliance or the Dark Side. And young Padawans can put their bravery to the test at Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple, which now features the character of the Seventh Sister from the Disney XD series Star Wars Rebels.

Over at Epcot®, guests can discover an event bursting with fresh, farm-to-table flavors, brilliant blooms, interactive playgrounds and rocking entertainment. The Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival continues through May 30, 2016, offering guests fun-filled exploration for every age and interest.

Disney Springs™ continues to grow this spring with new retail shops and dining venues, scheduled to open in phases beginning May 15, 2016. Disney Springs, which was inspired by Florida’s waterfront towns and natural beauty, is nearing completion on its largest expansion in history.
