Details of Frozen Summer Fun Package

Beginning July 5 through the summer, Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be having Frozen Summer Fun.  In addition to all of the activities we have previously reported, there is now a Frozen Summer Fun Package.

Here are the details:

10:30 am – Check in at Min and Bill’s Dockside Diner

11:00 am – Refreshments & reserved viewing for “Anna & Elsa’s Royal Welcome Procession”

Anytime between – 12:30 pm – 7:00 pm – Reserved seating at one showing of “For the First Time In Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration”

8:30 pm – 10:00 pm-  Dessert party in a reserved area for viewing the “Frozen Fireworks” Show

Packages cost – $59 for adults and $34 for kids.

Sounds Like Summer Concert Series Heats Up Evenings at Epcot

Feel the rhythm as an assortment of high-energy bands pay tribute to the legends that inspired them. This rockin’ seasonal party packs in musical acts each week at America Gardens Theatre in World Showcase at Epcot.

June 29 to July 5: Don’t Look Back ~ Boston Tribute Band
July 6 to 12: Stayin’ Alive ~ A Tribute to the Bee Gees
July 13 to 19: Slippery When Wet ~ The Ultimate Bon Jovi Tribute
July 20 to 26: 2U ~ A Tribute to U2

Show times are 5:30, 6:45 and 8 p.m. – except on July 4 when expanded show times are 5:15, 6:30, 7:45 and 9 p.m. Sounds Like Summer concerts are included with Epcot admission (Entertainment subject to change without notice).

Video – Tour the Marketplace Co-Op in Downtown Disney Marketplace

A few weeks ago, Disney officially opened the doors to the Marketplace Co-Op, the newest retail location in Downtown Disney Marketplace at Walt Disney World Resort. This flexible space location will be a testing ground for new retail shop concepts, products and guest experiences.

Cinderella’s Royal Table Closing for Refurbishment in Early 2015

If you were planning on visiting Magic Kingdom and eating at Cinderella’s Royal Table in early 2015, you may have to adjust your plans.  Cinderella’s Royal table will be undergoing a refurbishment from January 5 – March 6, 2015.

Harambe Nights Celebrity Narrator List for July & August

Guests can join in the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Oscar-winning film “The Lion King” this summer at Disney’s Animal Kingdom during “Harambe Nights,” an evening entertainment and dining experience.

Harambe Nights

A 55-minute theatrical extravaganza, “The Lion King Concert in the Wild” comprises celebrity narrators, a live orchestra, choir and special effects to present the story of Simba’s coming of age like never before. A lively welcome reception and the post-show street party featuring Afro-pop rhythms, performers and a buffet of culinary creations keep the celebration rocking through the evening.

Celebrity narrators in July and August include:

Harry Lennix – July 12
Joe Morton – July 19
Alfre Woodard – July 26
Brian Stokes Mitchell – Aug. 2
Patina Miller – Aug. 9

General admission tickets for Harambe Nights run $119 ages 10 and up; $79 ages 9 and under. Premium floor seating tickets run $134 ages 10 and up; $94 ages 9 and under. The event runs Saturdays from 7-10:30 p.m., and parking is complimentary.

Fourth of July Sparks Patriotic Entertainment and Fun Throughout Walt Disney World Resort

Disney Parks guests can get their red, white and blue on this Independence Day during a special tribute to the stars and stripes July 3 – 4, 2014 at Walt Disney World Resort.

It’s a two-day patriotic extravaganza as Disney Parks honor America with a Fourth of July celebration that will light up the night. At Magic Kingdom, a 14-minute, 360-degree fireworks spectacular rockets into the air Thursday and Friday night at 9 p.m. with ”Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky.”

On July 4 at Epcot, Guests can meet some favorite Disney characters dressed in patriotic attire outside The American Adventure and catch a performance of the Spirit of America Fife and Drum Corps (performances at 1, 2:15, 3:30, 4 and 4:45 p.m.). The Voices of Liberty will perform at America Gardens Theatre at 12:30, 1:45, and 3 p.m., and inside The American Adventure Rotunda at 4:15 and 5 p.m.

The evening will culminate with “IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth,” a dazzling display of pyrotechnics, at 10 p.m., followed by a heart-pounding, grand finale in a salute to America.

At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, guests can enjoy a twist on traditional fireworks with the “Rockin’ 4th of July Celebration”. The party begins at the Sorcerer Hat with a DJ at 6 pm. At 7, 8, 9 and 10 p.m., Mulch, Sweat & Shears will take you on a musical road trip through America. Everything leads up to a special rock ‘n roll fireworks presentation at 10:15 p.m.

Note: Special expanded show times for Don’t Look Back (Sounds Like Summer concert series at Epcot) on the Fourth of July are 5:15, 6:30, 7:45, and 9 p.m.
