Ringing in the 2017 New Year at Magic Kingdom

Walt Disney World Resort is sending off 2016 with a bang…and pops of light and thrilling musical scores. Typically known as the most fireworks-filled evening of the year, guests will celebrate New Year’s Eve with new experiences across the resort: new shows, new music, and new spectaculars.

Festivities start early on the eve of New Year’s Eve. “Fantasy in the Sky” fireworks light up the sky over Cinderella Castle at 11:50 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 30, and will be repeated on Dec. 31. For guests who can’t keep their eyes open till midnight, the Holiday Wishes New Year’s Celebration starts at 7:30 p.m. both nights, with expanded fireworks and a New Year’s Eve countdown.

The Disney Parks Blog will live stream “Fantasy in the Sky” on New Year’s Eve starting at 11:45 p.m.

DISNEY AFTER HOURS RETURNS TO MAGIC KINGDOM PARK FOR 7 NIGHTS IN EARLY 2017

Last spring, Disney After Hours event nights debuted at Magic Kingdom® Park at Walt Disney World® Resort and delighted attendees with quick access to some of the park’s most popular attractions and character greetings. We’re thrilled to share today that this unique hard-ticket event will return for select dates in January, February and March 2017.

Disney After Hours events are limited to a small number of Guests, allowing guests to maximize their time in the park with little to no wait at 25 attractions and experiences, like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid, Space Mountain and many more. The Disney After Hours ticket allows park entry as early as 7 p.m., which gives guests time to enjoy the park’s nightly “Wishes” fireworks, and then remain in the park for three hours past the park’s scheduled closing time. In addition, ice cream novelties and select beverages are included in admission.

Disney After Hours event nights are currently set for Jan. 20 and 27, February 2, 9 and 16, and March 2 and 9, 2017. (Please note that Disney After Hours does not replace Extra Magic Hours (EMH) for our Walt Disney World Resort Hotel Guests and are instead held on non-EMH dates).

Only a limited number of tickets are available for each night, so be sure to purchase tickets today by calling the Disney Reservation Center at 407-827-7185.

Located in Tomorrowland®, the new exclusive Kingdom Cabanas provide a unique opportunity to gather, connect, rest and refuel from an exciting time in the Park. Each one of these private and comfortable cabanas includes in-Park Wi-Fi, charging stations, locked storage to stow souvenirs, as well as light snacks and beverages throughout the day – all for one price.

If guests are ready for a heartier bite to eat, a Cast Member will be on hand to pick up and deliver food from select Quick-Service locations! And since guests can come and go as they please, they can enjoy as much (or as little) rest and relaxation as they like.

Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy and dozens of their other Disney pals help ring in the festive spirit of the holiday season during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom Park.

New this year, Mickey and his pals invite some of their friends over for an unforgettable Christmas party filled with music, dancing, color and fun in a new castle stage show titled “Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration.” This spectacular show includes medleys of delightful holiday songs both classic and contemporary, along with special effects and magical projections.

TIANA’S RIVERBOAT PARTY ICE CREAM SOCIAL & PARADE VIEWING LAUNCHES AT MAGIC KINGDOM PARK NOV. 29

“Tiana’s Riverboat Party Ice Cream Social & Parade Viewing” will make its debut launch on the Liberty Belle Riverboat at Magic Kingdom® Park on Nov. 29, 2016. The fun starts at the boat dock, where guests can enjoy hand-dipped ice cream and soft drinks while they visit with Princess Tiana and Naveen.

Guests will then board the riverboat to enjoy an incredible birds-eye-view parade viewing for the park’s “Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade” and a cruise around Tom Sawyer’s Island. Princess Tiana and Naveen will join the group on the Liberty Belle Riverboat after the parade concludes for photos. Please note during the holiday period Dec. 23-31, 2016, Guests will view the “Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade” instead.

This offering is part of the new Enchanting Extras collection, which offers guests a variety of options to enhance their Walt Disney World® Resort vacations.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Brings the Joy of the Holidays to Magic Kingdom Park

Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy and dozens of their other Disney pals help ring in the festive spirit of the holiday season during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom Park.

On select nights from Nov. 7 – Dec. 22, guests with tickets to this special, after-hours event can enjoy an evening filled with all the magic and wintry wonderment of the season, complete with complimentary hot cocoa and cookies, snow flurries falling on Main Street, U.S.A., a jolly parade, a breathtaking fireworks show and A Frozen Holiday Wish, where Queen Elsa from “Frozen” uses her powers to turn Cinderella Castle into a sparkling icy centerpiece.

New this year, Mickey and his pals invite some of their friends over for an unforgettable Christmas party filled with music, dancing, color and fun in a new castle stage show titled “Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration.” This spectacular show includes medleys of delightful holiday songs both classic and contemporary, along with special effects and magical projections.

Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom Sparkles with Endless Magic During the 2016 Holiday Season

Deck the halls! Walt Disney World Resort does that and plenty more this holiday season – turning up the yuletide magic with new shows, thrilling spectaculars, beloved characters to create lasting memories, yummy and festive holiday treats, and theme parks and resort hotels all aglitter with holly, jolly decorations.

Here’s a sampling of the holiday fun in store for guests:

Magic Kingdom

·      Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party: It’s a Christmas party like no other, with joyful music, a shimmering Cinderella Castle, characters in their festive finery and the Magic Kingdom decked out and even more magical for merry-making guests of all ages. Disney princes join princesses at Princess Fairytale Hall. Guests can meet Nick and Judy from “Zootopia” in Tomorrowland. ·      A Frozen Holiday Wish (Castle Dream Lights): This season, the wintry wonder and magic of Disney’s blockbuster “Frozen” enchants park guests as Queen Elsa transforms Cinderella Castle into a glimmering, shimmering ice palace for the holidays.
