Today, we’re excited to share the first details about an all-new show coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park in Spring 2018 featuring Russell and Dug from Disney•Pixar’s “UP.”

Beginning just in time for the 20th anniversary of Disney’s Animal Kingdom next year, this new experience will offer guests the chance to see Senior Wilderness Explorer Russell and his furry friend Dug as they discover species of birds from around the world in their newest adventure at the Caravan Theater in Anandapur village. There will be “UP” close encounters each day with amazing winged creatures!

As you plan ahead for guests, we also wanted to let you know that in order to begin to prepare for the new show at Disney’sAnimal Kingdom, Dec. 31, 2017 will be the final showing of Flights of Wonder. Until the end of this month, you can still experience Flights of Wonder at the park.

Animal Kingdom, Disney’s fourth theme park in Orlando, will be turning 20 early next year, and it’s never been better. The extravagant Pandora—The World of Avatar expansion opened in May, adding a veneer of alien splendor to what was already the most beautifully designed park at Walt Disney World.

B-Roll: Tiger Cubs at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

For some wild and wonderful adventures, guests can’t miss Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park, where the magic comes alive day and night. They can ride a thrilling safari, take a careening coaster through the Himalayas, blast back to the dinosaur age and more. Plus, there’s new enchantment for guests to experience, including Pandora—The World of Avatar, a sprawling new land. Sohni, a Sumatran tiger at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, recently gave birth to a pair of tiger cubs, the first in the park’s history. Guests can expect to see Sohni and her cubs on the Maharajah Jungle Trek within the next several months.

A variety of these special shots are available at Disney PhotoPass locations throughout the park, with the exception of Character Experience locations.

And, with Memory Maker, guests will get digital downloads of all their Disney PhotoPass vacation photos and videos for one price.

Plus, once expeditions to Pandora – The World of Avatar begin on May 27, 2017, guests can also lookout for special shots from Disney PhotoPass Service.
