Food and Beverage at the Disneyland Resort

Food and Beverage and Storytelling

  • Since 1955, Disney Parks have been where guests connect with the Disney stories and characters they cherish most, and the food and beverage offerings play an integral role in those stories.
  • Food and beverage is one of the key elements that make up a Disney theme park experience, with unique restaurants and cuisine that put guests inside the story. Blue Bayou Restaurant has been immersing guests in the story of Pirates of the Caribbean since 1967 at Disneyland Park, and Cars Land in Disney California Adventure Park invites guests to dine in Flo’s V8 Cafe from the Disney•Pixar movie “Cars.”

Innovation of Disney Dining

  • In recent years, Disney has transformed the theme park dining experience, and has been recognized by both consumers and industry experts for exceptional, innovative, fun and healthy dining experiences.
  • Innovation is at the core of the Disney dining experience. From immersive dining that brings guests into the stories they love to the broad range of options, varying from five-star restaurants to quick-service choices, Disney Parks are moving the culinary industry forward.

Enjoy the Spirit of Día de los Muertos This Fall at Disneyland Resort

This fall, your Clients are invited to visit Disneyland® Resort for the return of special seasonal experiences in both parks inspired by the spirit of Día de los Muertos.

At Disney California Adventure® Park, Disney•Pixar’s Academy Award-winning hit film “Coco” is at the heart of Plaza de la Familia, a limited-time festivity at Paradise Gardens. Families visiting Plaza de la Familia can share meaningful memories of loved ones at the interactive Memory Wall, enjoy the iconic Mexican Árbol de la Vida (Tree of Life) photo location and take part in a new mask-making craft that depicts an alejibre (spirit guide) from the film “Coco.” Your Clients will find themselves drawn to the immersive art exhibit The World of “Coco,” the emotional Mariachi music performed on the bandstand and the delicious Mexican food menu at Paradise Gardens Grill.

Several times daily, the uplifting show A Musical Celebration of Coco brings together the Storytellers of Plaza de la Familia and the Grammy-award winning Mariachi Divas for a festive show of music and dance that tells the incredible story of young Miguel’s journey as seen in “Coco.” New this year, this charming troupe of singers and authentic Folklórico dancers is joined by Miguel, brought to life in a whimsical, hand-crafted style inspired by traditional Mexican folk art.

Also at Disney California Adventurepark, your Clients can visit Cars Land, where an ofrenda (a remembrance altar) pays tribute to Doc Hudson (aka, the Fabulous Hudson Hornet). Look for it at Ramone’s House of Body Art, just down Route 66!

Over at Disneyland Park, Zócalo Park in Frontierland is decked out with an elaborate and colorful display in honor of Día de los Muertos. This immersive setting features beautiful marigolds and papel picado throughout the installation, along with a traditional ofrenda, calaveras (sugar skulls), an iconic figure of La Catrina and delicious food at the nearby Rancho del Zócalo.

These special experiences inspired by Día de los Muertos take place Sept. 7-Nov. 2, 2018 at Disneyland Park.

Blue Bayou is the only dining establishment that looks into a dark ride attraction at Disneyland Resort.

Best place to combine dining with entertainment: Splitsville Luxury Lanes at the Downtown Disney District offers a unique combination of dining, drinks, bowling and live musical entertainment 365 days a year.

Places to find the most photo-worthy treats: Bing Bong’s Sweet Stuff and Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats at Pixar Pier in Disney California Adventure Park; Jolly Holiday Bakery Café at Disneyland Park; Marceline’s Confectionery at Downtown Disney.

Storytellers Café at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa spurs family conversation with beautiful wall murals that depict tall tales set in the Golden State’s early days.
