Reimagined World of Disney Stores Coming to Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resort in 2018

Shopping at Disney Parks is an adventure with hundreds of shops and boutiques to explore. The largest of these shops, World of Disney, has served as the “must see” destination for finding many beloved souvenirs from stylish apparel to home décor. Now, as part of continued enhancements to guests shopping experiences at Disney Parks, the World of Disney store locations in Disney Springs® at Walt Disney World® Resort and in Downtown Disney® District at Disneyland® Resort will be reimagined beginning in mid-February 2018.

When the interior redesign work is completed, guests will discover the products they love from Disney Parks in a dynamic and distinctly Disney retail environment.

Work will be completed in phases throughout 2018, so you can continue shopping in the World of Disney stores during construction.

Shops in Town Center at Disney Springs, such as Ever After Jewelry Co. or The Disney Corner (opening in mid-February), will carry select merchandise while World of Disney undergoes renovations.

At Downtown Disney District in California, World of Disney will remain open during the renovation. Additionally, you can find great shopping in the recently opened Dream Boutique, as well as the Disney Home store opening February 2018 in the former D-Street location.

Stay tuned for updates as the transformation progresses throughout 2018.

Disney DuckTales Woo-oo! DVD Review

DuckTales! Woo-oo!  Every day they’re out there making DuckTales! Woo-oo! Tales of derring-do! Bad and good luck tales!  Are you singing along yet?  One listen to the theme song for Disney DuckTales, and you will be Woo-ooing all around town. The original Disney DuckTales was an animated classic from 1987-1990.  With great anticipation the show got a reboot and  premiered on August 12, 2017. The tales continue with the globe-trotting treasure-hunting money-making adventures of billionaire Scrooge McDuck (David Tennant) and his nephews, Huey (Danny Pudi), Dewey (Ben Schwartz) and Louie (Bobby Moynihan).  I knew that reboot would be huge when I attended the D23 Expo over the summer, and the line for the DuckTales Money Pit wrapped around the show floor.  Fans literally waited for hours for the change to dive into Scrooge McDuck’s Money Bin.  How awesome is that?! Disney DuckTales Woo-oo! is great fun for those of us that watched the original and for those of you who are new the series. Run out and grab a copy of the DVD and get ready to join Scrooge McDuck and his nephews on the greatest adventures of all.  DuckTales Woo-oo! See….I told you would be singing along in no time!

Disney TANGLED The Series: Queen for a Day Review

I have to admit I was pretty excited when I found out that Disney was planning an animated series based on my favorite movie, Tangled.  Disney TANGLED The Series is full of great adventures with Rapunzel, Eugene, Pascal and their new friends Cassandra and Varian. I had the lucky opportunity to see the cast up close at the D23 Expo last summer.  Mandy Moore, Zachary Levi, Eden Espinosa, and Jeremy Jordan were part of this amazing panel.  They discussed the series and hinted at upcoming storylines.  Of course because of his Broadway stardom everyone wanted to know when Jeremy Jordan would finally sing on the series.  Well, we finally got our wish. Yes we love whenever Mandy Moore brings Rapunzel to life through song, but Jeremy Jordan can belt out some showstoppers as well.  In Queen for a Day, Rapunzel is left in charge of the castle and town while her parents go on a trip by themselves.  Rapunzel faces the challenges of pleasing the townspeople and making everyone happy.  When a blizzard threatens the safety of her parents and the people of Corona, Rapunzel must make the hardest decisions yet.  Meanwhile, Varian has his own challenge as his own father is in danger.  This is where we get to hear an amazing song by Jeremy Jordan.  In fact, I played that scene several times in a row.  You will love this musical addition to the show.  TANGLED The Series: Queen for a Day also includes several shorts called “Inside the Journal.”  As Rapunzel is my favorite princess and Eugene Fitzherbert is my favorite name in all of Disney, I must recommend that you get yourself a copy of this DVD.  The stories are just so much fun for the whole family.
