A Third-Consecutive Year of Disney XD’s “Pranksgiving,” a Cornucopia of Fun-Filled Programming, Is Set for November

For the third-consecutive year, a cornucopia of prank-themed storylines so plentiful that they merit their own programming event, namely the popular “Pranksgiving,” will be presented NOVEMBER 1-30 on Disney XD. Geared towards kids age 6-14, the programming event includes the premiere of an interstitial series created by acclaimed animation producers The Brothers McLeod (“Pedro and Franksheep,” BAFTA winners for their work with BBC Learning) and will introduce the comical adventures of one clever turkey outsmarting one unsuspecting pilgrim.

Disney’s Blockbuster NBA Deal Will Likely Raise Your Cable Bill

Recently, Disney ‘s ESPN and Time Warner ‘s Turner Sports signed a massive nine-year extension to keep the NBA on TNT, ABC, and ESPN. And while the terms of the deal were not publicly stated, The New York Times reported the contract totaled $24 billion — $2.67 billion per year.

Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend Celebrates Fifth Anniversary November 7-9

Runners will celebrate the fifth anniversary of the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend at Walt Disney World Resort on Nov. 7-9.  Participants in the Wine & Dine Half Marathon, which is sold out, will run a 13.1-mile nighttime race on Nov. 9 through Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot.

The race weekend also will include Mickey’s Jingle Jungle 5K and runDisney Kids races on Nov. 8. To register for the runDisney kids races and to purchase the few remaining tickets for the Disney Wine & Dine Pre-Race Taste Party at Epcot, visit www.runDisney.com.
