In MARVEL Avengers Academyplayers will have the freedom to build and expand their own version of a prestigious Super Hero campus, creating the ultimate environment for aspiring young Avengers to hone their skills by building and upgrading training facilities, dorms, laboratories, classrooms, sports stadiums and much more. Players will experience dramatic campus life by going on dates, confronting rival cliques and navigating the social ups and downs of their character’s lives, all with a special Super Hero twist. Up-and-coming Super Heroes and Super Villains will learn what it takes to reach their greatest potential. They’ll engage in sporting activities and training sessions to build and strengthen their superpowers, which they’ll take out into the world as youthful Avengers, uncovering exciting original storylines and battling against epic Super Foes.

“Marvel’s Avengers is an amazing franchise with near endless possibilities,” stated Andrew N. “Whether its visiting Stark Tower or going on a date with Loki, players will soon be debating what’s the coolest experience of MARVEL Avengers Academy, but for this lifelong fan, it’s seeing world-famous Super Heroes like Captain America, Black Widow and Iron Man reimagined into charmingly fresh but instantly recognizable young adult forms,” said Bill Rosemann, Marvel Games Creative Director. “And here’s the extra twist:  There’s a mystery for you to uncover—a shocking truth that lies beneath the very campus you’re exploring. You see, these are the real deal Earth’s Mightiest Heroes (and Villains), complete with their distinct personalities, powers and personal struggles that we’ve all grown to know and love. What has transformed them into students, and what chain of events have assembled them at the ultimate superhuman university? Class is in session…do you have what it takes to become an Avenger?”

Rosemann, a 20-year veteran of the Super Hero industry, is sharing his extensive knowledge of the Marvel Universe to help bring the ever-expanding cast of MARVEL Avengers Academy to life. TinyCo has also enlisted the help of their own top tier talent, including comic book and animation writer Allen Warner and David Nakayama, artist of numerous comic book covers for Marvel.

To celebrate the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Disney twenty-three unlocks the power of the force to give fans a look behind the making of the newest installment in the Star Wars saga. The issue opens with “guest editor” C-3PO admitting he is unfamiliar with D23: The Official Disney Fan Club (“…although I am very familiar with the R2 series of droid, I am less familiar with the D23 line. Would it be R2-D23?”) and continues with candid interviews with the original Star Wars leads—Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, and Harrison Ford—looking back (and ahead) at the ongoing strength of these out-of-this-world films.

Director J.J. Abrams—whose long-standing history with Disney goes back to the TV show Felicity—sits down for a revealing Q&A, and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy talks about inheriting one of the most beloved franchises of all time. Plus, Imagineer Scott Trowbridge gives fans a peek at what’s in store for guests at the parks, following Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger’s announcement at D23 EXPO 2015 of Star Wars-themed lands coming to Disneyland and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Disney’s Animated Classic “Fantasia” Returns To Cinema Screens In Celebration Of Its 75Th Anniversary

Walt Disney’s 75-year old, bold experiment blending animation and classical music resulted in the much honored animated classic “Fantasia,” which returns to theaters nationwide for a strictly limited engagement beginning Sunday, November 8.  Honored by the National Board of Review as one of its Top Ten Films of all time, and the American Film Institute on its list of Greatest American Films, “Fantasia” was also inducted into the National Film Registry by the National Film Preservation Board.  In addition to the original feature, the event screenings will include a never-before-seen introduction and performance with the Philadelphia Orchestra, led by Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin.  BY Experience will release the film with more than 1,400 screenings nationwide.  Tickets for the “Fantasia” 75th Anniversary theatrical screenings are available now at participating theater box offices and online at www.Fantasia75.com.

Released in 1940 in the middle of World War II, “Fantasia” was initially envisioned as a short film to reinvigorate the sagging popularity of Mickey Mouse, but as the budget for the short soared, Disney decided to turn it into a full blown feature.  The film consists of eight animated segments conducted by Leopold Stokowski, with the famed Philadelphia Orchestra performing seven of them.  The soundtrack was recorded in ‘Fantasound,’ a then-new sound reproduction system, making “Fantasia” the first commercial film shown in stereophonic sound.

“‘Fantasia’ was a groundbreaking film in so many ways, and we are thrilled to have it back on big screens in its original form for new generations of moviegoers to experience,” said Julie Borchard-Young, co-president of BY Experience.  “The film is just as bold and innovative today as it was 75 years ago, which is why so many of Hollywood’s leading animators and filmmakers have referenced ‘Fantasia’ as an influencer on their careers and the art of animation in general.”

Walt Disney’s vision matched with Leopold Stokowski’s genius, and that created an instant masterpiece: Fantasia,” said Philadelphia Orchestra Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin. “The legacy of this wonderful film and its music is an important part of The Philadelphia Orchestra’s past, its present, and its future. After 75 years it is still so relevant for today’s audiences.”

In the last year, BY Experience has theatrically re-released such iconic and award-winning films as John Hughes’ seminal teen feature “The Breakfast Club,” and the fully restored Oscar-winning musical “My Fair Lady.”  Their latest re-release, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s acclaimed musical “Oklahoma!” opens November 1.
