Doctor Strange: The Magic Of STEM Challenge Announced

Over the past several years, Marvel Studios has been putting together contests that encourage inquisitive young women across the country to get involved in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), and with the upcoming release ofDoctor Strange, the studio has launched a new contest encouraging young women, between the ages of 15 to 18 (grades 10-12) and residing in the 50 United States or the District of Columbia, to discover the secrets and mysteries behind modern scientific and technological discoveries and innovations.

ROYAL COURT ROYAL TEA EXPERIENCE ABOARD DISNEY DREAM

We are excited to announce that the popular Royal Court Royal Tea experience, which has delighted young princes and princess aboard the Disney Fantasy, is expanding and will now be available on the Disney Dream!

This whimsical teatime features a fanciful menu, including a selection of herbal teas and two delicious course – one sweet and one savory. Every child receives a distinguished assortment of gifts as a keepsake of their experience. The cost for Royal Court Royal Tea is $210 for children and $69 for adults.

On the Disney Dream, Royal Court Royal Tea is now offered on all 4-night sailings at 3 p.m. on the Sea Day. The event will also be offered on all 3-night sailings at 3 p.m. on Nassau port days beginning Nov. 4, 2016. Royal Court Royal Tea on theDisney Dream will be held at the Royal Palace.

Registration Now Open for Tinker Bell Half Marathon Weekend During Mother’s Day Weekend at Disneyland Resort

Propelled by pixie dust, runners from Southern California and beyond will be running with their favorite girl at the Tinker Bell Half Marathon Weekend presented by PANDORA Jewelry during Mother’s Day Weekend at Disneyland Resort.

Registration opens today for the race weekend in May 2017, which annually brings together women and more than 20,000 of their closest girlfriends. Runners from across the nation – including a strong contingency from Southern California – and 30-plus countries will spread their wings and fly for this women-focused event. It’s the quintessential way for women to get active while also celebrating everyone’s favorite girl: Mom.

In the Tinker Bell-inspired half marathon, 10K, 5K and Kids Races, moms and fellow runners will be treated to new finisher medals this year, designed to reflect the strength and determination of Tinker Bell.

The half marathon course, among the most popular runDisney events at Disneyland Resort, will once again wind through Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park, as well as the surrounding city streets of Anaheim.

The Tinker Bell Half Marathon Weekend is one of two women-focused runDisney events that support women’s health, women’s empowerment and women just having fun. The other is the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend presented by Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

Watch Dory Meet Frozen’s Princess Anna in a Live-Action Disney Mashup

It’s a clash of the Disney animated universes: in an unexpected (and, frankly, adorable) bit on Ellen DeGeneres’s show with guest Kristen Bell, the two actresses — who have each voiced iconic characters for Disney, as forgetful Dory in Finding Dory and upbeat Princess Anna in the blockbuster Frozen — gave their cartoon selves a chance to get acquainted. (Well, sort of.)

NIGHT OF JOY AT WALT DISNEY WORLD RESORT 2017 DATES ANNOUNCED

he 34th Night of Joy at Walt Disney World Resort just wrapped up and this year’s event brought the best names in Contemporary Christian music to ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex for the first time.

The Complex came alive with music and festivities for this year’s event – with Champion Stadium, the HP Fieldhouse, Jostens Center and The ESPN Grill filled to the brim with music, games, food and fun. Having three venues right near each other, Guests could move between concerts with ease, which made the main Hub of the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex a beehive of activity. Giant TV screens broadcast concerts and event outtakes to guests taking advantage of the Complex food trucks and other dining options.

And – if that weren’t enough – we even got to announce the dates for next year’s event – Sept. 8 and 9, 2017 – back again at The Complex. Check out this video for a taste of what you can catch next year – including a little “shout out” from Night of Joy All Stars MercyMe – who will be back again in 2017.
