DISNEY NIGHT OF JOY 2017 TICKET PRICE, ON SALE DATE UPDATE
Disney Night of Joy 2017 will introduce a new ticket structure as this popular event returns to ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World® Resort Sept. 8-9, 2017.
Guests will be able to buy both concert-only OR theme-park-and-concert-combination tickets for either evening – or also a two-night ticket.
Ticket options include:
- Single night concert only tickets will be $45 plus tax in advance
- Two-night concert only tickets will be $69 plus tax in advance
- Single night concert tickets plus a (1) day at a Walt Disney World theme park add on will be $107 plus tax *
- Two-night concert tickets with a (1) day at a Walt Disney World theme park add on will be $131 plus tax **
There also will be premium seating packages available for an extra charge; and groups of 10 or more will be able to get discounted tickets, as with past events.

NEW MICKEY MOUSE CELEBRATION CAKES COMING SOON TO WALT DISNEY WORLD RESORT
There’s a magical new way to celebrate special milestones at Walt Disney World® Resort! Beginning May 17, 2017, guests can order a brand-new Mickey Mouse celebration cake at any Walt Disney World Resort owned-and-operated table-service restaurant
Available in decadent chocolate or sweet white chocolate, the Mickey-shaped cakes are sure to be the icing on the cake of guest’s celebration! A special message of “Happy Birthday” or “Congratulations” is available on the chocolate ears—or leave them blank. Each cake serves 4-6 guests, and costs $35 plus tax and gratuity (where applicable). Advance payment is not required with confirmed restaurant reservations.
Reservations for the new Mickey Mouse celebration cakes begin May 17, 2017. Celebration cakes will be able to be added to a new or existing dining reservation by calling 407-WDW-DINE or by inquiring in person at a Walt Disney World Resort concierge desk or restaurant podium. Day-of quantities are limited, so make arrangements prior to dining.
COME DANCING THIS SUMMER AT DISNEYLAND PARK
This summer guests can put their dancing shoes on, and get ready to enjoy some cool music under the moonlight at Disneyland® Park.
Live music returns to the stage at Tomorrowland Terrace with rockin’ bands performing hits from the ’50s, ‘60s, ‘70s, ‘80s and today. Beginning May 26, 2017, guests can enjoy live music in Tomorrowland every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night, from 7:30-11:15 p.m. Different bands will be appearing through Aug. 20, 2017. Guests can check the entertainment schedule before their visit.
Plus, there’s also the Royal Swing Big Band Ball in Fantasy Faire, with fantastic live swing music and jazz every Saturday night from 7-10:30 p.m.
Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon: The place for Miss Adventure
The centerpiece of Typhoon Lagoon, one of two water parks at Florida’s Walt Disney World, is its surf pool. Six-foot curls roll across the huge lagoon – it’s the largest wave pool in North America – sending swimmers bobbing as they try, sometimes comically, to body surf them.

The opening of Pandora – The World of Avatar is less than two weeks away? Today we’re excited to give you a first look at the Na’vi Shaman of Songs, a character who guests can spot within the Na’vi River Journey attraction.
Encountering the shaman is a highlight of this fun family attraction, in which guests will sail down a mysterious river hidden within a bioluminescent rainforest filled with glowing plants and wondrous creatures. The river journey culminates when Guests spot the shaman, a figure who has a deep connection to the life force of Pandora and celebrates that beautiful connection through her music.

New “Happily Ever After” Fireworks and Projection Show Debuts at Magic Kingdom Park
It’s no secret that every ‘once upon a time’ story ends with ‘happily ever after.’ Now, Walt Disney World Resort guests can discover just how magical and emotional that fairy tale ending can be with the newest, most breathtaking fireworks show in the history of Magic Kingdom Park – “Happily Ever After.”
In addition to fireworks, the stunning new nighttime extravaganza features more lasers, lights and projections than any show at Magic Kingdom Park before it. “Happily Ever After” is also an entirely new kind of Disney storytelling, one that takesbguests on an inspiring journey filled with heart, humor and emotion. Guests become part of the journey themselves as they follow favorite Disney characters on an adventure to seek out their destiny, face adversity and ultimately fulfill their dreams on the road to their happily ever after.
The 18-minute spectacle features moments from classic Disney films such as “The Little Mermaid” and “Aladdin” to modern blockbusters “Moana” and “Zootopia.” Cinderella Castle becomes part of the story itself, with dazzling projections bringing heartfelt Disney stories to life on and around the iconic 18-story-tall castle. Quasimodo from “Hunchback of Notre Dame” swings from the turrets. Woody and his pals from Disney•Pixar’s “Toy Story” recreate the castle entirely out of toys. And Maleficent from “Sleeping Beauty” envelops the castle in her signature green flames.
The story begins with scenes of fantastic dreams full of hope, wonder, magic and light. Disney villains soon become part of the story, attempting to quash those beautiful dreams and forcing the heroes to fight for what they believe in. Overcoming their fears, the heroes triumph and are celebrated with spectacular fireworks.
Because no Magic Kingdom Park fireworks display is complete without this little bit of magic, Tinker Bell flies across the night sky, reminding guests that with a little faith, trust and pixie dust, everyone can find their own happily ever after.
Characters and scenes from more than 25 Disney films are featured through state-of-the-art projections, enhanced by more than 50 choreographed spotlights, brilliant lasers and plenty of awe-inspiring fireworks. Paired with an emotional score, the new spectacular drives the message home that anyone can grab hold of their dreams and make them come true as long as they are brave enough to listen to what guides them and bold enough to pursue their destiny.
The score for “Happily Ever After” was recorded by a 75-piece orchestra in London and includes tunes from a multitude of Disney movies, including “Aladdin,” “Brave,” “Tarzan,” “The Lion King,” and “The Princess and the Frog.”
