Recently we traveled to San Antonio, Texas for a wedding. Because we had never been there before, we were excited for the adventure. We knew that we had to stay near the famous River Walk, and there was no better choice than the Hotel Valencia.
Located on a quiet part of the River Walk, Hotel Valencia is in the middle of the action but is still relaxing and tranquil. The style blends Spanish Colonial and Modern Mediterranean. This is definitely NOT a chain hotel that looks like every other hotel in town. Hotel Valencia has a historical feel with every modern amenity.
The doorman greeted us with a smile right away when we walked up the steps. The entryway literally made me say, “Wow.” We took the elevator up into a gorgeous lobby area. The front desk staff was super friendly as well as professional and helped us get checked in very quickly so we could be on our way.

The thrilling Incredicoaster opens June 23, 2018, at Disney California Adventure Park, bringing guests the first ride-through attraction in the world to feature characters from Disney•Pixar’s “The Incredibles.” Anchoring the newly reimagined land of Pixar Pier, the Incredicoaster takes guests on a super adventure with the Parr family to chase after the elusive baby Jack-Jack. Exciting character figures, special effects, lighting, new music and distinctively colored vehicles make the thrills on this coaster even more incredible.
Guests will step right into the world of “The Incredibles” as they discover they’ve been invited to the inaugural launch of the new Incredicoaster. In gratitude for their heroic efforts and incredible deeds, the citizens of Municiberg are dedicating their beloved roller coaster to the Incredibles. Of course the family of supers are attending – Mr. and Mrs. Incredible, Violet, Dash and Jack- Jack – along with Edna Mode (exclusive super suit designer to the Incredibles)

Lamplight Lounge, a new restaurant opening June 23 at Pixar Pier, offers table-service dining, gastro-pub cuisine, panoramic views of Paradise Bay – plus “insider” stories all along the walls. The décor of Lamplight Lounge serves as a tribute to the storytellers who create the beloved Pixar feature films and shorts.
The stylish eatery at Disney California Adventure Park celebrates the creativity, inspiration and personalities of the artists and storytellers who bring Pixar stories to life. Guests will discover many unique artistic details that Pixar “regulars” have left throughout the lounge. From sketches on coasters to concept art and memorabilia on the walls, the décor at Lamplight Lounge reveals seven insider facts about Pixar.
There will be four exciting neighborhoods to discover at Pixar Pier in Disney California Adventure® Park —Incredibles Park, Toy Story Boardwalk, Pixar Promenade and Inside Out Headquarters.
Located on the western end of the pier, the lush and colorful Inside Out Headquarters will be the future home of Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind! Making its Pixar Pier debut in 2019, this whimsical family-friendly attraction inspired by “Inside Out” will be—not surprisingly—full of emotions.
Also joining Pixar Pier in 2019 is Jessie’s Critter Carousel. Inspired by Jessie’s wilderness friends in the “Woody’s Roundup” television show from “Toy Story 2,” this reimagined attraction is a classic boardwalk carousel with a rootin’ tootin’ spin.
In the meantime, you can visit Pixar Pier starting tomorrow, June 23, 2018 to discover many new experiences, including the Incredicoaster and Pixar Pal-A-Round attractions, Lamplight Lounge, Pixar-themed food locations and more
