Disney Expects Maker Studios to Become Next Marvel, Pixar or Lucasfilm

Maker, the largest network of channels on Google’s YouTube, is growing revenue and has the potential to be profitable, Jay Rasulo, Disney’s chief financial officer, said Wednesday at the Goldman Sachs Communicopia Conference in New York.

Port Wishes Upon a Star: Disney Cruise Ship Leading Convoy

The Disney Wonder is scheduled to arrive in San Diego on Friday to kick off the local 2014-15 cruising season, which port officials hope will signal a turnaround for the industry on the West Coast.

“The Port of San Diego is proud to welcome the Disney Wonder and its guests to our world-class waterfront,” said Bob Nelson, chairman of the Board of Port Commissioners.

Orlando Bloom May Reboard ‘Pirates’ Franchise

Orlando Bloom has revealed he has been in talks to reprise his role in the Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise.

The 37-year-old British actor appeared alongside Johnny Depp as blacksmith-turned-pirate Will Turner in the first three movies, and told a discussion panel at Oz Comic-Con he is considering joining the cast of the fifth film, Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.

Magical Makeover Drives Disney Store Revenue To $760 Million In The UK

A radical redesign of the Walt Disney Company’s Disney Stores in 2010 is paying off according to new research. It reveals that in the four years since the overhaul the Disney Stores in the United Kingdom alone have made $761.6 million in revenue which peaked at $200.4 million in 2012.
