Beginning Dec. 22, 2018, families with little ones visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios®will have more reason than ever to get on their feet and start dancing! The all-new “Disney Junior Dance Party!” live show will rock the park with high-energy songs, dazzling special effects, new friends and beloved characters including Mickey Mouse himself.
In the show, DJ Deejay and host Finn Fiesta invite everyone in for the party, creating an incredible interactive atmosphere for kids to sing, dance and play along with favorite Disney Junior stars like Doc McStuffins, Timon from “The Lion Guard,” and Vampirina from the hit Disney Junior series, “Vampirina.” And of course, Mickey Mouse races in from “Mickey and the Roadster Racers,” just in time for the big finale!
For fans of “Disney Junior Dance Party!” at Disneyland® Resort, we’ve got news for you, too. The one and only Vampirina will be joining the show at Disney California Adventure Park starting Feb. 1, 2019!

Last year, we announced a massive expansion of Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort set to debut next summer at Walt Disney World® Resort. Today, we’re excited to share more details about the reimagining of this popular resort hotel, including some new renderings that show off how beautiful it’s going to look when completed.
The centerpiece of this expansion is a new 15-story tower, which you can see in the rendering above. It will add 545 guest rooms (including 50 suites!) to the resort. The tower will be the new main entry point when visiting the resort; in the rendering below, you can see the tower’s gorgeous two-story lobby where your Clients can check in and find some cozy places to relax. Atop the tower, your Clients can look forward to dining in a themed and unique table-service restaurant that will provide incredible views of Walt Disney World Resort.
The rest of Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is being refreshed, as well. All 1,800-plus existing rooms have been fully updated with new fixtures, furnishings and lighting. Another new restaurant will be located on an island in the middle of the resort’s 14-acre lake, Lago Dorado, with new walkways stretching across the water allowing for quick and convenient walks to and from all parts of the resort. And a fresh, sophisticated color palette will tie the entire experience together, blending the new and the newly reimagined.
We’re looking forward to sharing new details about Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort as they become available. Keep checking back here for more information!

Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios® will join in on the holiday fun this year by dressing up for the holidays with fun new seasonal decor. Today we’re happy to share a first look at what our “Toy Story” friends – Woody, Jessie and Buzz Lightyear – will wear in Toy Story Land this holiday season.
When you visit Walt Disney World® Resort for the holidays, you can expect to see Woody in a holiday vest adorned with a Christmas tree and presents, as well as a candy cane accessory for his holster. Jessie will also trade in her cowgirl vest for a red holiday vest trimmed in a peppermint pattern, while Buzz Lightyear will add a sparkly Santa hat to his out-of-this-world ensemble.
Check out the video below for a sneak peek at what our friends’ holiday outfits will look like – and don’t forget to check the My Disney Experience app on the day of their holiday visit for the latest character greeting times and locations.
In addition to holiday character greetings, Guests visiting Toy Story Land beginning Nov. 8, 2018, can enjoy the land’s new holiday decor, including including oversized cranberry-and-popcorn garland, a holiday card “selfie” of “Toy Story” pals, an oversized Hamm sugar cookie, Green Alien ornaments and more. The land’s attractions will also be plussed up for the season with new holiday audio or music: Guests will hear sleigh bells ringing on Slinky Dog Dash, while Alien Swirling Saucers will offer two holiday tracks, plus themed lighting.
After nearly 20 years of delighting Epcot guests through music, fireworks, fire torches and more, IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth will be ending in the second half of 2019 to make way for an all-new nighttime spectacular. Guests will want to spend another evening around World Showcase Lagoon to celebrate this classic show that has entertained millions of guests since its October 1999 debut.
The Disney Parks Live Entertainment team is already creating new thrills for World Showcase Lagoon; details on the future of nighttime entertainment at Epcot will be released at a later date. The new show will keep true to the original vision of the park and will be part of the park’s exciting evolution.
There’s a food festival at Disney World that has been running for nearly a decade, only it’s not the one you’re thinking of.
Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic hosts seminars, events, and 90 festival booths each October for a phenomenal festival that only in-the-know Disney fans are aware of — even though it’s just steps outside of the parks.
Budget-minded travelers with a little patience could save some money on their next trip to Walt Disney World, but they’re going to have to work hard to do so.
The parks have overhauled their pricing model, adopting one that more closely resembles that of the airline industry. Starting October 16, ticket prices will vary depending on the day you choose to go to the parks.
Virtually all theme parks showcase the dark side for their Halloween events, with walk-through haunted houses that go for the jugular – figuratively and literally. But Disney World‘s Magic Kingdom, home of princesses, fairies, pixie dust and the innocuous “It’s a Small World,” foregoes chainsaw-wielding zombies and PG-13 gore and focuses on what it does best: parades, fireworks, shows, and E-Ticket rides. To dispel any ambiguity, The Mouse calls its fall event “Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.”
The Walt Disney Company announced it is contributing $1 million to aid in relief efforts across Florida’s Gulf Coast region and other areas impacted by Hurricane Michael. The donation will support disaster response and recovery efforts through the Florida Disaster Fund managed by the Volunteer Florida Foundation.
“The families and communities impacted by this devastating hurricane need our help as they begin to rebuild,” said Robert A. Iger, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, The Walt Disney Company. “Through today’s $1 million contribution, and other relief efforts in the weeks and months ahead, we will stand with our Gulf Coast neighbors as they recover from this tragic storm.”
In addition to Disney’s donation announced today, contributions from Disney employees to eligible relief and recovery organizations will be matched dollar for dollar by Disney Employee Matching Gifts: A Program of The Walt Disney Company Foundation.
Disney works on an ongoing basis with numerous nonprofit organizations on emergency preparedness efforts, including sharing lifesaving information with families before and during emergencies, having supplies prepositioned and at-the-ready to respond to natural disasters, and providing resources to activate large-scale responses in the event of a disaster.
They were told not to say anything, and actually had to sign non-disclosure agreements, but that hasn’t stopped a number of the nation’s exhibitors from giving their opinions on Disney’s big Christmas release — and perhaps Oscar hopeful — Mary Poppins Returns.
