Foodie Guide to Mickey’s Birthday at Disney Parks

We’re just a few days away from Mickey Mouse’s birthday. And we’re gettin’ ready to celebrate with Mickey-themed eats and treats across the Walt Disney World® and Disneyland® Resorts! This November, for one weekend only, we’ve got a TON of specialty items on both coasts to celebrate 90 wonderful years of Mickey Mouse. Here’s a look at all of the tasty fun!

In addition, as part of this ear-ful celebration, we’re inviting you and your Clients to #ShareYourEars on social media! Through Nov. 17, 2018, for every public post on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter using that hashtag, Disney will donate US $5 to Make-A-Wish, up to US $2 million, to grant even more wishes.

And don’t forget, all of these yummy offerings will only be available Nov. 16-18, 2018, at Walt Disney World® Resort and Nov. 17-18, 2018, at Disneyland Resort unless otherwise noted.

Celebrating Mickey’s Birthday This Weekend at Magic Kingdom Park!

The big cheese is celebrating his 90th anniversary and Magic Kingdom® Park is ready to celebrate!

You can join in the fun Nov. 16-18, 2018 at the park with limited-time entertainment, specialty food and beverage options, new merchandise items and more.

Some of the entertainment includes special show enhancements and musical moments in celebration of Mickey’s big day, as well as a Tomorrowland Birthday Celebration Dance Party (only offered on Nov. 17 & 18). Your Clients will also be able to stop by Town Square Theatre to sign Mickey Mouse’s birthday card and to wish him a happy birthday!

A delicious new array of food items can be found through the park like a Birthday Bash Push Pop – filled with birthday cake pastry cream and layered with cake crumbles, buttercream, and glitter sprinkles! Other delectable delights will include a savory burger with a Mickey bun, a Confetti Mickey Pretzel and last but not least, a Minnie Kitchen Sink Sundae!

To commemorate the occasion, you can get one or all of the limited merchandise items that will be available including new product in celebration of Mickey’s 90th anniversary as well as a brand new collection in Celebration of the Mouse where Disney artists pay tribute to Mickey Mouse with deluxe prints, limited edition gallery wraps, note cards, and a tote. Speaking of Disney artists, special artist signings will be taking place from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Disney’s new streaming service will be called Disney+

Disney’s upcoming streaming service will be called Disney+, CEO Bob Iger announced on a call for investors Thursday.

The service is expected to hit the US market late next year, and will include content from the Disney flagship brand as well as Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic.

Ballast Point Coming Soon to Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort

Ballast Point, the popular San Diego-based brewer, will open its first Orange County location in the Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort this fall.

The 7,000 sq. ft. family-friendly eatery will house Downtown Disney District’s first-ever on-site brewery, tasting room, kitchen and outdoor beer garden. The high-quality, award-winning beers complement its extensive selection of local, sustainable and seasonal fare – salads, small plates, flatbreads and entrees. The menu will feature its most popular dishes, such as Baja-style fish tacos and a house-made pretzel with a beer mustard, along with items exclusive to the Downtown Disney District location. Entrees can be paired with specialty beers from the extensive beer portfolio. In addition, gluten-free options, vegetarian dishes and a children’s menu will be available.

A feast of food is about to blow in for this year’s Flurry of Fun at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! From Nov. 8, 2018, to January 6, 2019, your Clients can join us for this holly, jolly event and delight in festive shows, enchanting “snows,” holiday décor, Toy Story Land cheer, and yummy sweets and treats!

They can watch as Sunset Boulevard becomes a winter wonderland and Hollywood Tower Hotel transforms with projections and laser effects depicting holiday stories of beloved Disney characters.
