10 Disney sequels that are better than the originals

When it comes to Disney sequels, fans can usually go into round two expecting it to be significantly less magical the second time around. 

At the turn of the century, Walt Disney Studios was busy releasing straight-to-video sequels for almost every one of their beloved ’90s classics, and the majority of them fell completely flat . Case in point: The second installments of films like ” Mulan” , ” The Hunchback of Notre Dame” , and ” Pocahontas” probably didn’t need to happen, and their low scores on Rotten Tomatoes attest to that.

4-Park Magic Tickets Coming to Walt Disney World Resort in the New Year

The New Year is nearly upon us and, along with it, a busy wave season. We know that the holidays are a time that families cherish and they often make plans to vacation together in the year ahead. To help make it even easier to plan your Clients’ dream vacation, we recently announced Walt Disney World® Resort 4-Park Magic Tickets, which will go on sale beginning Jan. 18, 2019. Our hope is that announcing these tickets early will allow you to help keep a Disney vacation top of mind for your Clients during this key planning period.

Your Clients will be able to purchase a four-day, 4-Park Magic Value Ticket for $85 per day (plus tax) for a total price of $340 (plus tax). The 4-Park Magic Tickets include one day of admission to Magic Kingdom® Park, one day of admission to Epcot®, one day of admission to Disney’s Hollywood Studios® and one day of admission to Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park, for a total of four admissions over four separate days.  

4-Park Magic Tickets will be available for purchase beginning Jan. 18, 2019, at DisneyTravelAgents.com and through the Disney Reservation Center. 4-Park Magic Tickets are seasonally priced for varied usage between Jan. 18 and Sept. 30, 2019, as follows:  

  • 4-Park Magic Value Ticket: Valid for admission Jan. 18-March 1, 2019; must be used within seven days from first use, or by March 1, 2019, whichever comes first.
    • Adult: $85 per day, plus tax ($340 total, plus tax) 
    • Child: $80 per day, plus tax ($320 total, plus tax) 
  • 4-Park Magic Select Ticket: Valid for admission March 2-March 14; March 27-April 9; April 27-May 27; and Aug. 19-Sept. 30, 2019; must be used within seven days from first use, or by Sept. 30, 2019, whichever comes first.
    • Adult: $89 per day, plus tax ($356 total, plus tax) 
    • Child: $84 per day, plus tax ($336 total, plus tax) 
  • 4-Park Magic Summer Ticket: Valid for admission May 28-Aug. 18, 2019; must be used within seven days from first use or by Sept. 30, 2019, whichever comes first.
    • Adult: $95 per day, plus tax ($380 total, plus tax) 
    • Child: $90 per day, plus tax ($360 total, plus tax)

Note: 4-Park Magic Tickets are valid for one theme park per day; tickets can be used to enter each theme park only once. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable and exclude activities/events separately priced. Higher-priced tickets are valid for use on dates with a lower price. 

2019 will be a fantastic time to visit Walt Disney World Resort, with new shows, parties, character experiences and more debuting at all four theme parks, starting Jan. 18, 2019:  

  • Anything can happen duringMickey & Minnie’s Surprise Celebration at Magic Kingdom Park, including the new “Move It! Shake It! MousekeDance It! Street Party,” featuring those true originals, Mickey and Minnie Mouse. (Jan. 18-Sept. 30, 2019). 
  • Pixar pals will party with Guests at Disney’s Hollywood Studiosduring the park’s 30th anniversary year, featuring The Incredibles, Mike and Sulley from Disney•Pixar’s “Monsters, Inc.” and Woody, Buzz Lightyear and the gang at the new Toy Story Land.  
  • To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Disney animated classic “The Lion King,” Rafiki and Timon will help your Clients let their inner animal loose on the dance floor during the “Hakuna Matata Time Dance Party” at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.  
  • As part of the Epcot International Festival of the Arts, the Disney on Broadway Concert Series expands to seven days a week, providing more opportunities than ever before for Guests to hear pairs of Disney on Broadway stars sing favorite tunes from award-winning productions. (Jan. 18-Feb. 25, 2019).

Disney Junior Dance Party! Debuts at Disney’s Hollywood Studios Dec. 22

The new Disney Junior Dance Party! live show, which will feature music and characters from beloved Disney Junior TV shows, will soon hit the stage at Disney’s Hollywood Studios® at Walt Disney World® Resort.

The party will be held multiple times each day starting Saturday, Dec. 22, 2018, and will feature the star of the spooktacular hit Disney Junior television show, “Vampirina.” This TV series follows the Hauntley family, friendly vampires who recently relocated from Transylvania to Pennsylvania. Viewers delight in watching Vampirina (aka “Vee”) as she experiences being the new kid in town and attending a new school in the human world.

Disney Junior Dance Party! will also be hosted by Finn Fiesta and DJ Deejay, who will encourage guests to sing and dance to their favorite Disney Junior songs. Disney Junior Dance Party! features music and characters from “Doc McStuffins,” “The Lion Guard,” “Mickey and the Roadster Racers,” and “Vampirina.”

Enjoy VIP Tastings of Iconic Disney Menu Items During the Taste of Magic Kingdom Park VIP Tour

A visit to Walt Disney World® Resort wouldn’t be complete without the food and beverage experience. Soon, your Clients will be able to discover how food memories are made as they enjoy VIP tastings of iconic menu items while immersing themselves in the culinary magic of Magic Kingdom® Park.  

Taste of Magic Kingdom Park VIP Tour is a three-hour guided experience allowing Guests to sample some of the most beloved food items at the park, visit backstage kitchens, and hear stories from our brilliant chefs. Tastings include a Mickey cinnamon roll from the Main Street Bakery, Grey Stuff sample at Gaston’s Tavern (it’s delicious), Dole Whip, and a sample of a turkey leg, among others. This VIP experience is unlike anything ever offered before. Your Clients will be able to enjoy unprecedented access to backstage kitchens and working areas that have never before been shared with Guests. They will also be able to taste the future by helping Disney culinary artists create the next generation of Magic Kingdom park food by sampling an item that is still in development. 

The tour is $99 per person, plus tax. Valid theme park admission is required and is not included in the price of this experience. Guests must be at least 12 years of age to participate in the tour. Bookings are now available by booking online at Disneyworld.com/dining or by calling (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463. Tours begin Feb. 24, 2019 and will be offered on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
