Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground provides a unique vacation destination where many guests enjoy visiting with an RV or easily traveling around the resort on a golf cart.
Recently, we’ve made some adjustments to our policies for RVs and golf carts and want to make sure you are aware.
What you need to know: RVs
Renting an RV?
We have several Disney Featured Providers guests can use to rent an RV at Fort Wilderness. When guests choose to rent through one of these providers, the guest does not need to be present when the equipment is delivered to the resort. The provider will work with Disney Resort Cast Members to manage deliveries, set-up and returns of rented RVs. Details are listed here.
Bringing an RV?
RVs are welcome and must be brought in by registered guests.
What you need to know: Golf carts
Renting a golf cart?
Golf carts can be easily rented right from Fort Wilderness. Guests can make reservations in advance by calling 407-824-2724, based on availability. After arriving, guests can visit the Outpost to pick-up the golf cart right at the resort.
Bringing your own golf cart?
Golf carts are welcome, but for the safety of everyone at the resort, beginning June 1, 2024, must also be prepared to present proof of insurance and sign an agreement and waiver. Details are listed here.
Third-party companies may not conduct business on Walt Disney World property.
As a reminder, our Walt Disney World Resort property rules prohibit unauthorized commercial activity at Walt Disney World. This includes unauthorized rentals brought onto our property by non-resort guests, such as RVs and golf carts. The full property rules can be found at: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/park-rules/.

Hello, travelers! Follow along for exclusive updates as we await the grand opening of Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, Disney Cruise Line’s newest, one-of-a-kind tropical retreat on the island of Eleuthera, The Bahamas.
Today, we’re excited to share new photos from here in Eleuthera, including a new look at the Bahamian-inspired art and architecture taking shape at this one-of-a-kind island destination.
Cabanas
Nestled along the sand dunes of Serenity Bay, the vibrantly colored architecture of the Serenity Bay Cabanas matches the Mabrika Cove Cabanas, which sit across Disney Lookout Cay at the arrival point of the destination.
Steps away from Serenity Bay BBQ and the area’s beach bar, these cabanas will be available for rent to offer a retreat for adults to take in Eleuthera’s stunning sand dunes and shimmering ocean waves.
Local Art
The bright turquoise ocean here in Eleuthera is beautiful, yes, but don’t forget to look up while you’re exploring Disney Lookout Cay. Art from talented, local Bahamian artists will take shape throughout all of the spaces at the destination, including intricate wood carvings inspired by artist Andret John and colorful murals by painter Dorman Stubbs, as seen here.
True-True Too BBQ
True-True Too BBQ is a beautiful example of the architecture designed to look like oversized seashells scattered across the shores of Disney Lookout Cay. These uniquely designed dining pavilions will offer shade from your day of adventures on the Nature Trail or the beach, serving up views of Bahamian art, nature, and of course, delicious lunch!
Today, we’re excited to reveal new character looks for Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, Pluto, and Chip and Dale for their visits to Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point! Acclaimed Bahamian fashion designer Theodore Elyett created these adorable looks, which showcase the vibrant spirit of the beloved Bahamian tradition, Junkanoo.
Disney Cruise Line’s newest island destination, Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point on the island of Eleuthera, opens this summer. This beautiful destination will offer a window into the rich culture, warm hospitality and breathtaking natural beauty of The Bahamas.
Today, we’re excited to share first-look photos of construction progress, which give a glimpse of the inspiration and stunning architecture of Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.
Cabanas
The vibrant colors and patterns designed by a Bahamian artist dotting the beautiful shores of Disney Lookout Cay? Those are the Mabrika Cove Cabanas, which will be available for families to relax and play along the white sand and turquoise Bahamian waters.
Among the first sights guests will see when approaching Disney Lookout Cay, the colorful cabanas will set a tone for the vibrant and beautiful architecture throughout the island destination.
True-True Too BBQ
Walt Disney Imagineering designed the architecture throughout Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point to resemble a series of colorful, oversized seashells scattered along the coastline. From these beautiful decks under the shade of a shell-inspired pavilion, guests will enjoy some tasty lunch from True-True Too BBQ while taking in the beautiful views of the ocean and sand dunes.
Can you spot some nature-inspired art under the pavilion? That is just a peek of the art that will fill these beautiful spaces, all drawn from the coral, seashells, fish, and flowers that inform the architecture and also inspire Eleuthera’s local artists.
Tram Stop
Another early sight of Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point is one of our tram stops. This space will soon be filled with the bright colors that will light up the destination, inspired by the warmth of Bahamian art and culture. Expect hair braiding, merchandise, and lots of fun.
Stay tuned for more exciting updates as we count down the days to June!
Mickey and Minnie Mouse will have new looks specially designed by acclaimed Bahamian fashion designer Theodore Elyett whenever they visit Disney Cruise Line’s newest island destination, Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point on the island of Eleuthera. The garments will have a distinct Bahamian flair, inspired by the bright, colorful spirit of Junkanoo, the country’s signature festival filled with joyous music and vibrant parades.

Theodore designed all eight looks with traditional Junkanoo style in mind, including eye-catching details like fringe. Can you spot it in Goofy’s vest? Like Mickey Mouse’s conch shell shorts and Minnie Mouse’s pineapple purse, Bahamian island inspiration also makes these vacation looks especially bright—check out the ocean waves and sun rays in Donald Duck and Chip and Dale’s looks.
“I envisioned creating a collection that not only highlighted Bahamian culture, but one that also allowed Mickey and his pals to look and feel as though they were comfortably on vacation, island style,” said Theodore. “’Junkanoo Fun in the Sun’ is an exclusive line-up of all things Bahamian, celebrating the beauty of The Bahamas, all tailored to match the varying personalities of Mickey and his pals.”
To match Mickey and Minnie Mouse’s raffia accessories, the natural Bahamian straw handiwork is woven into these outfits with straw visors, oversized beach hats and bucket hats on Donald and Daisy Duck, Goofy, and Chip and Dale. The adorable raffia poms on the dresses, shoes, hat brims and shoulder straps are also a nod to this traditional Bahamian craft!
Now, can we take a moment for Daisy Duck’s hat? And Goofy’s socks? Pluto looks vacation-ready with his dapper collar!
To learn more about Theodore Elyett and his inspiration for these fabulous outfits, take a look at this video.
Stay tuned for more exciting Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point updates before the destination opens in June!

Mark your calendars: The 2024 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival presented by CORKCICLE takes place at Walt Disney World Aug. 29 through Nov. 23!
As many guests may know, there’s always something to celebrate in the neighborhoods of EPCOT, from nature and discovery to culture and cuisine. And while the park has so much to offer every day, here are a few things guests won’t want to miss at this year’s festival.
Global Marketplaces
Of course, it wouldn’t be the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival without the FOOD! Foodie fans can look forward to so many mouthwatering returning favorites.
Once again guests can indulge in Belgian Waffles with Berry Compote and Whipped Cream or Warm Chocolate Ganache at the Belgium Global Marketplace.
In Germany, say “guten tag” to Apple Strudel with Vanilla Sauce, while just over the mountain, The Alps will feature Dark Chocolate Fondue with Berries, Pound Cake, and Meringues.
Are guests looking for tropical flavors that will whisk them away to paradise? Passionfruit Cheesecake with Toasted Macadamia Nuts will breeze back in the Hawai’i Marketplace!
Say Roquefort! (Or Gruyere or Gouda if guests prefer.) That’s right – Emile’s Fromage Montage also returns in 2024. This fun food stroll encourages guests to sample a variety of delicious cheeses served in inventive ways. Guests can purchase any five cheese dishes from the official Global Marketplaces list in their Festival Passport and collect a stamp for each dish purchased. Once they’ve collected all five stamps, they can bring the passport to the specified location for a specialty unique item to enjoy!
That’s just an amuse bouche to excite guests for all the delectable flavors that are to come.
Crave-able Merch
Guests can take home a taste of the fun with magnificent merchandise that keeps the magic alive between visits, featuring beloved friends, like Remy from “Ratatouille” and Mickey Mouse.
And here’s a fun reveal: Everyone’s favorite purple dragon, Figment, will also be cooking up some fun this fall just in time for the festival. Want to see more? Here are a few more things we have up our chef coat sleeve, including fun drinkware from CORKCICLE.
CommuniCore Hall
As we shared in a recent story, CommuniCore Hall will open on June 10 in the heart of World Celebration.
And, once the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival begins, the new space will add exciting fresh elements to the festival. Stay tuned for more!
Eat to the Beat Concert Series, Scavenger Hunts and More
As evening falls, chart-topping musical acts and Orlando’s top talent will take to the stage as part of the Eat to the Beat Concert Series presented by Florida Blue. Performances will take place nightly in the America Gardens Theatre. Eat to the Beat Dining Packages will also return, ensuring guests can get seats for their favorite acts. We’ll have more details soon.
On the scavenger hunt front, guests can purchase a map (while supplies last) for Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak and search to find their favorite little chef hidden throughout World Showcase.
There is so much to look forward to at the 2024 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival!
