New Disney Chocolate Shop Coming Soon to Disney Springs

A new chocolate shop, The Ganachery, is set to open in The Landing in late 2015 at Disney Springs.

Walt Disney World chefs traveled the world to research and create a custom blend chocolate with the finest beans for the all-new concept that will feature freshly made ganache (gəˈnaSH). Ganache is a luxurious mixture of chocolate and cream, and every chef has their own “perfect” formula for the indulgent sweet.

Hand-crafted onstage by a chocolatier, the shop will feature fresh batches daily, including dark (65 percent custom blend), hazelnut, chipotle and a custom blend flavored with the world’s finest spices and flavors. Beautiful custom packaging will make elegant take-home gifts and there will be chocolate bars inspired by Disney characters.

Preview Scenes from Disney•Pixar’s “The Good Dinosaur”coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Guests at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will get a sneak peek of Disney•Pixar’s “The Good Dinosaur” film Oct. 16 – Dec. 4, 2015. The preview scenes will be presented as part of the One Man’s Dream attraction on Mickey Avenue. In “The Good Dinosaur,” Pixar Animation Studios takes audiences on an epic journey into the world of dinosaurs, where an Apatosaurus named Arlo makes an unlikely human friend. While traveling through a harsh and mysterious landscape, Arlo learns the power of confronting his fears and discovers what he is truly capable of. Disney•Pixar’s “The Good Dinosaur” opens in theaters on Nov. 25, 2015.

NEW MENU NOW AVAILABLE AT TORTUGA TAVERN AT MAGIC KINGDOM PARK

Next time guets visit Magic Kingdom® at Walt Disney World® Resort, they can check out the new menu at Tortuga Tavern in Adventureland.

New menu items at this seasonal location include barbecue sandwiches with either pulled pork, sliced beef brisket or grilled chicken breast, all served on Texas toast with beans and cole slaw. Vegetarians, or anyone looking for a lighter meal will enjoy the roasted corn and vegetable salad, served with vinaigrette dressing. Barbecue beef brisket or chicken can also be added to the salad.

As a reminder, Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Café at Magic Kingdom Park is now also serving a reimagined menu, featuring a tasty Tex-Mex cuisine – including rice bowls and burritos with a choice of beef, chicken or veggies; sizzling fajitas with steak or chicken; traditional tortilla chips and Chicken Enchilada Soup.

“The Chew” Celebrates the 20th Epcot International Food & Wine Festival from Walt Disney World Resort, October 12-16

For the first time in the history of ABC’s “The Chew,” the show traveled to Orlando, FL to tape a week of programs highlighting all of the food, fun and festivities of the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival at Walt Disney World Resort. Co-hosts Mario Batali, Michael Symon, Carla Hall and Clinton Kelly had a magical experience with stellar dining, thrilling rides and one-of-a-kind experiences, including visiting Animal Kingdom and buckling in for a high-speed adventure at Test Track presented by Chevrolet in Epcot.

Guests included Alfonso Ribeiro (ABC’s “AFV”) and Bellamy Young (ABC’s “Scandal”). “The Chew” also surprised its live audience with appearances from the classic Disney characters Mickey Mouse and Goofy and a performance from the cast of Disney’s “Festival of The Lion King.”

MONDAY, OCTOBER 12 – “THE CHEW’S FAMILY VACATION” – Carla Hall makes a delicious Norwegian roasted salmon & ranch potato galette; Michael Symon visits The Land at Epcot to check out the center’s hydroponic gardening program and makes a meal with its vegetables; Mickey Mouse and Goofy stop by to say hello.

GET A GLIMPSE OF DISNEY•PIXAR’S THE GOOD DINOSAUR AT DISNEY PARKS STARTING OCT. 16

Beginning Oct.16, 2015, Guests visiting Disney Parks will be able to catch a preview of scenes from the new Disney•ŸPixar adventure, “The Good Dinosaur” coming to theaters this Thanksgiving.

This new film takes the audience on an epic journey into the world of dinosaurs, where an Apatosaurus named Arlo makes an unlikely human friend. While traveling through a harsh and mysterious landscape, Arlo learns the power of confronting his fears and discovers what he is truly capable of.

Guests can see an advance sneak peek of this exciting adventure at Walt Disney World® Resort in Florida at Disney’s Hollywood Studios®, as part of the One Man’s Dream attraction on Mickey Avenue. At Disneyland® Resort in California, guests can catch “The Good Dinosaur” preview at Disney California Adventure® Park in the “It’s Tough to be a Bug!” Theater with special in-theater effects.

“The Good Dinosaur” preview will run through Dec. 4, 2015 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The regular One Man’s Dream finale film will return on Dec. 5, 2015 – just in time for Walt Disney’s birthday. And, in California, the sneak peek will run through Dec. 13, 2015 at Disney California Adventure Park. “It’s Tough to be a Bug” is expected to reopen once the preview is done.

“The Good Dinosaur” opens in theaters on Nov. 25, 2015.
