Ok so there isn’t much to see at this point but some walls but if you look close you can start to see how much area has been cleared to create Star Wars Land and Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Ringing in the 2017 New Year at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Walt Disney World Resort is sending off 2016 with a bang…and pops of light and thrilling musical scores. Typically known as the most fireworks-filled evening of the year, guests will celebrate New Year’s Eve with new experiences across the resort: new shows, new music, and new spectaculars.
A high energy DJ dance party starts at 7:00 p.m. at Center Stage leading to a countdown to midnight and fireworks. Guests can also catch two nighttime spectaculars, “Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!” at 9:00 p.m. and “Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular” just after midnight.
Muppets-Themed Eatery, “PizzeRizzo” Now Open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
There’s a new neighborhood pizza joint at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, PizzeRizzo, run by and themed after the lovable Rizzo the Rat from the Muppets.
Located in the Muppets Courtyard area of the park, PizzeRizzo is a quick service dining restaurant with a classic, family pizzeria ambiance. Inside the two story eatery guests will find decor inspired by Rizzo, as well as his extended family and friends who have visited PizzeRizzo over the years. On the second floor, also known as Rizzo’s Deluxe Supreme Banquet Hall, the theme is a lively wedding reception complete with a disco ball and a fun party playlist.
Entrees are served with a side Caesar salad, and include personal-sized pizza pies, or a meatball sub. There’s also an antipasto salad option, as well as specialty drink options that include a non-alcoholic Peach Bellini and wildberry-basil lemonade limoncello, in addition to beer and wine for adults.
For dessert, guests can indulge in traditional Italian sweets such as cannoli and tiramisu.

NEW FAST CASUAL DINNER MENU NOW AVAILABLE AT ABC COMMISSARY AT DISNEY’S HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS
ABC Commissary at Disney’s Hollywood Studios® at Walt Disney World® Resort has long been a Guest favorite to take a break and grab a bite to eat while enjoying ample indoor seating and props from their favorite ABC television shows. Now guests can expect a more upscale dining experience for dinner—with elevated menu items and food brought to their table.
New appetizers include jalapeño poppers and pita chips with hummus. Fast-casual entrees include a juicy Chimichurri Steak served with a fire-roasted corn medley, hearty Barbecued Chicken and Ribs with coleslaw, and a Southwest Burger piled high with Pepper Jack cheese, bacon, guacamole and jalapeño poppers, all three are served with thick-cut steak fries.
Lighter options include a zesty Lemon Pepper Salmon, served with green beans and couscous and the Mediterranean Salad with tomatoes, onions, peppers, Kalamata olives and feta tossed in a Greek vinaigrette and topped with your choice of chicken or salmon. Kids will enjoy entrees like barbecued chicken, salmon or a burger.
Guests will place their order at the register and receive a pager. They can then choose any open table in the dining room, sit back, relax and enjoy the ambiance. A Cast Member will deliver their food and drinks to the table.
New Star Wars Experiences Coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios
A galaxy of new Star Wars experiences is coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios beginning mid-December. The announcement – made today at Walt Disney World Resort – noted that some of the coming-soon additions are inspired by “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” that opens in theaters worldwide on Dec. 16.
Guests, including fans of the epic space saga, will find new entertainment, special displays inside Star Wars Launch Bay, a first-ever themed tour and more at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Premiering this Month
- Star Wars Launch Bay – a multi-sensory space celebrating all things Star Wars – is now updated with authentic replicas from “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” joining other Star Wars memorabilia in the preview gallery. Making-of footage from “Rogue One”has been added to the “Meet the Makers” film featured in Star Wars Launch Bay.
- In the popular daytime stage show “Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away,” guests will get a first look at AWR Troopers from “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.” Outfitted in their specialized Stormtrooper armor with a dark, ominous gleam, these soldiers serve as bodyguards and enforcers for Director Krennic, a highly placed officer within the Advance Weapons Research (AWR) division of the Empire. A new Troopers sequence will join the show Dec. 16. Performances daily.
- The fan favorite nighttime show, “Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular,” will return to Disney’s Hollywood Studios on December 16 and will join “Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!” as a second nightly fireworks spectacular at the park through Dec. 31. The show will continue to be presented in 2017.
- Starting mid-December, randomized tracks will be returning to Star Tours – the Adventures Continue, the popular attraction that uses motion simulator-based technology. Instead of each ride experience launching from the planet of Jakku, the attraction will be randomized to both start and end at different locations for every galactic journey. New scenes from “Star Wars: Episode VIII” will be added to Star Tours in the coming year.
New in 2017
For the ultimate fan comes the ultimate tour. An all-new Star Wars guided tour is a seven-hour immersion in all the park’s current Star Wars experiences. Here’s what it includes:
- A Star Wars “all-in-the-know” tour guide
- Priority boarding for Star Tours – The Adventures Continue
- Encounter two Star Wars characters (Chewbacca and Kylo Ren) at Star Wars Launch Bay
- An in-depth, insider’s tour around Star Wars Launch Bay
- Screening of “Star Wars: Path of the Jedi“
- Enjoy Star Wars-themed menu items during dinner at Backlot Express
- A spot in the Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party, which includes themed sweets and specialty beverages, as well as reserved viewing for the Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular fireworks show
Younglings ages 4-12 on the guided tour package can also train in the way of The Force in Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple. Priced at $129 per person, tours begin Jan. 2 and will be offered on Mondays and Saturdays throughout 2017. Reservations for January tours can be made soon.
This latest flight of additions celebrating the Star Wars saga continues to elevate the Star Wars presence at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Entire Star Wars-themed lands are now under construction at the theme park and at Disneyland Park in California.

The 2016 holidays season brings a all-new nighttime spectacular to Disney’s Hollywood Studios with “Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!.” The facade of the Chinese Theater comes alive with state-of-the-art projections, and guests will experience special effects, fireworks and even snow on, above and around the theater. “Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!” will run Nov. 14 to Dec. 31, 2016.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios Sparkles with Endless Magic During the 2016 Holiday Season
An all-new nighttime spectacular, “Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!,” premieres at Disney’s Hollywood Studios Nov. 14-Dec. 31, sending beloved Disney animated characters on a spirited yuletide adventure to get Santa back to the North Pole in time for Christmas Eve. “Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!” combines state-of-the-art projections, fireworks, special effects and Christmas music to create a dazzling, one-of-a-kind holiday experience for guests – capped by a special message from Santa himself.
A new dessert party themed to the show will be offered nightly, one hour prior to each performance, in the courtyard of the Chinese Theater. Guests who book the “Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!” Holiday Party enjoy holiday-inspired snacks, decadent desserts and specialty beverages. During the holiday season, “Tinsel Town” takes on a new meaning at the theme park celebrating the magic of movies and television. A giant Christmas tree towers over the main entrance, holiday displays capture the imagination, shops along Hollywood Boulevard welcome holiday shoppers and colorful garlands and lights sparkle throughout the park.
