Production has begun on “Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy,” an upcoming animated-television series for Disney XD, featuring the hugely popular characters introduced in the record-breaking Marvel Studios film of the same name. The announcement was made today by Jeph Loeb, Marvel’s Head of Television, at New York Comic-Con. Produced by Marvel Television, the series stars Peter Quill as Star-Lord, the brash adventurer who, to save the universe from its greatest threats, joins forces with a quartet of disparate misfits – fan-favorite Rocket Raccoon, a tree-like humanoid named Groot, the enigmatic, expert fighter Gamora and the rough-edged warrior Drax the Destroyer. The series will premiere in 2015 on the Marvel Universe programming block on Disney XD.

Disney XD Orders Second Season of “Star Wars Rebels”
One day ahead of a highly anticipated television premiere, Disney Channels Worldwide President and Chief Creative Officer, Gary Marsh, announced plans to produce a second season of the animated series “Star Wars Rebels” from Lucasfilm.
Marsh said, “The global expectations for this series could not have been any higher. And I am proud to say that the team at Lucasfilm has delivered something that has surpassed even that incredibly high bar – artistically and thematically.”
“Star Wars Rebels” has received acclaim from critics and fans alike since its advance debut screening at San Diego Comic-Con in July, followed by special previews this week on WATCH Disney XD and other digital platforms. “Star Wars Rebels” will be introduced via a television movie, “Star Wars Rebels: Spark of Rebellion,” premiering FRIDAY, OCTOBER 3 (9:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel in the U.S. and MONDAY, OCTOBER 6 (8:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney XD in the U.S. It ushers in the series beginning MONDAY, OCTOBER 13 (9:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney XD in the U.S. The series will air in 34 languages across 163 countries in over 400 million households.

Zombies Camp Out on Disney XD for Bunks Premiere on June 16
Welcome to Camp Bushwhack – a place where campfire stories blaze to life. Debuting on Disney XD on Monday, June 16 at 6:00 PM ET/PT, Bunks is an original zom-edy (zombie comedy) that follows the troublemaking brothers, Dylan and Dane O’Reilly, as they escape the punishment of a military bootcamp to the idyllic S’more-smacked shores of Camp Bushwhack and accidentally trigger a curse that brings a campfire zombie story to life.
This coming of age adventure set in the great outdoors will follow the brothers as they pose as camp counselors, fumbling their way through summer camp favorites such as canoe trips and dodgeball disasters, all while looking after a cabin full of rowdy 11-year-olds. The real trouble begins when the mischievous pair accidentally unleashes a curse that brings ghoulish campfire stories to life and sets a massive zombie outbreak into motion. Dylan and Dane will learn to become true leaders as they team up with their campers and develop a battle plan against the undead in an effort to save Camp Bushwhack.

The cast also features Atticus Mitchell (My Babysitter’s A Vampire) as Wookie; Christian Potenza (Total Drama Island, 6TEEN) as Crawl; Emilia McCarthy (Hemlock Grove) as Lauren; Zane Davis as Genius Bar; Drew Davis as Grinsberg; Michael Levinson as Hollywood; Nicholas Bode as Twilight; and Grant Westerholm as Cheeseburger.
