Marvel’s ANT-MAN Digital HD Review

I have to be honest here.  I did not see Marvel’s ANT-MAN in theaters because, quite simply, it wasn’t an Avengers movie. I kind of pushed ANT-MAN to the side because it didn’t feature Captain America, Thor, or IronMan.  Plus it was about a guy who acts like an ant?  What kind of premise it that?   Well, I am now admitting to the world that I was wrong.  Marvel’s ANT-MAN is fantastic!  I watched the Digital HD feature film on the DisneyMovies Anywhere app.  It was super easy to use.  Just type in the code and click “play.”   Marvel’s ANT-MAN stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man, Michael Douglas as former shield agent Hank Pym, Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne, and Corey Stoll as Darren Cross/Yellow Jacket.  Michael Pena is hilarious as Lang’s buddy, Luis–you will love his stories about “a friend of a friend.”  As expected in a Marvel movie, ANT-MAN is action packed. It is also funny, fast paced, and may even touch your heart a bit.  Paul Rudd seems like perfect casting with his charm and quick wit.  You can’t help but cheer for him.  Michael Douglas is also amazing as the physicist who created the shrinking technology.  The scenes when ANT-MAN shrinks are so fun to watch.  I laughed out loud during the Thomas the Train fight scene.  The transition between full size and ant size and back again is incredible.  I also enjoyed the references to the Avengers and the fight scene with Falcon (Anthony Mackie).  Be sure to watch the bonus extras like deleted scenes, commentaries, and the ever popular gag reel.  Watching the bonuses can take an entire day.  Don’t miss out.   This holiday season Marvel’s ANT-MAN is the perfect gift for family and friends.  You should also treat yourself to a copy.  I guarantee you will look at the ants in your yard in a whole new way!

Disney-Pixar TOY STORY THAT TIME FORGOT Blu-Ray and DVD Review

In the mood for a little fun with your Toy Story favorites?  Tis the season for sure as we start getting ready for the holidays with Disney Pixar TOY STORY THAT TIME FORGOT now on Blu-Ray and DVD.  In this 22 minute television special, Buzz, Woody, Rex, and Trixie go on a play date and find themselves in the world of the Battlesaurs. These dinos definitely don’t know they are toys, and it takes Trixie to show them they are more than just Battlesaurs…..they can be anything a child can imagine.  My new favorite character is Angel Kitty–her heavenly quotes are sooooo adorable. “Be grateful for your gifts. They are all around you.” Be sure to check out the Bonus footage with the creative team, animators, and voice actors.  The detail they put into the back story of the Battlesaurs is amazing!  I also enjoyed Toy Story Goes to Comic Con because I have been lucky enough to attend a San Diego Comic Con in the past.  The experience is unbelievable.  Disney Pixar TOY STORY THAT TIME FORGOT can become part of your family’s holiday tradition.  Who doesn’t want to know what all those new toys do after Christmas morning?  This animated adventure will sure have you looking at your toys in a whole new way.

Disney Parks Extend Sponsorship of Orlando Magic

“We are thrilled to have Disney Parks continue with us as one of our Champions of the Community partners,” said Orlando Magic CEO Alex Martins. “As a pillar in the Central Florida community, Disney has established a great legacy. We are so excited to have them remain a part of our team to continue building upon that legacy together. Our commitment to the Central Florida community will remain our focus, working towards the goal of becoming champions both on and off the court.”

With the sponsorship extension, Walt Disney World Resort will gain stronger visibility to showcase the Parks by enhancing its presence with digital and social media activations as well as signage and additional visibility within the Amway Center. The Disney Atrium will continue to immerse fans with an enhanced, interactive guest experience that allows for Disney video messaging to entertain fans.

Disney will also remain the Official Cruise Line and Official Theme Park of the Orlando Magic.

“Disney believes in Magic, and we’re thrilled to support the downtown venues that serve the community,” said Maribeth Bisienere, senior vice president of Disney Sports Enterprises and Disney Springs.  “This sponsorship extension serves as another example of our company’s efforts to help make dreams come true across Central Florida.”

The Amway Center, which is operated by the City of Orlando and owned by the Central Florida community, hosts major national events, concerts and family shows and is the home of the Orlando Magic.
