The skies above Disney Springs will come alive with a new “Disney Dreams that Soar presented by AT&T” drone show beginning May 24. And today, we’re excited to share an exclusive first look at the experience fans of Disney characters will absolutely love!
The Disney Live Entertainment team behind this limited-time nighttime experience recently got the chance to see all their hard work take to the skies during the first set of creative rehearsals for the show. Today we’re sharing those first glimpses from an off-site property, as well as some exciting new details, about the larger-than-life experience soon to be the perfect complement to an evening at Disney Springs.
“We are presenting Disney characters who have had a dream of flying. Not just the idea that they can fly, but the idea of taking their lives to the next level.” said Show Director, Tony Giordano. “We put a lot of thought in making sure that no matter how old you are, or how much of a fan you are, you’re going to see a character that you love.”
And a lot of characters means a lot of drones. 800 drones to be exact – all working together to create a massive canvas in the night sky. Trust us, nothing can prepare guests for the awe of seeing a Baymax nearly twice the height of Spaceship Earth inflate, transform, and disappear right in front of their eyes.
“We were given the assignment to create an experience where you want to just hold the hand of the person next to you,” said Tony. “That’s always echoing in my mind as we work on this show.”
Music plays a big role in that connection. “Disney Dreams that Soar” features well-known and beloved soundtracks in addition to an original song that will inspire guests to follow their hearts, take a leap of faith, and reach for the stars.
Insider tip: The best place to experience the drones “dancing” to this new soundtrack will be along the waterway in the Disney Springs West Side. Clocking in at just under 10 minutes, the show is a perfect kiss-goodnight to a day of shopping, playing, and dining at Disney Springs, with 2 shows each evening this summer. Also, while guests are out there, they should make sure to keep an eye out for Tony!
“I can’t wait to stand next to the guests and hear their reactions. That’s my favorite part of building any show because those reactions are why we do what we do. We want them to actually experience magic, and when you see all these drones, to me, you get to see real magic!”
“Disney Dreams that Soar presented by AT&T” is an outdoor show and subject to cancelation or rescheduling due factors like inclement weather. Showtimes may vary throughout the summer. Check Disneysprings.com for the latest schedule.

The new Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows will take guests on a storytelling journey that brings to life the spirit of Polynesia.
Projected to open in December 2024, the new proposed 10-story tower overlooking the Seven Seas Lagoon will take you on a storytelling journey that brings to life the spirit of Polynesia, the natural world, and of course, the magic of Disney.
Overlooking the picturesque shores of Seven Seas Lagoon, Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows will be within convenient walking distance to the Disney Monorail, making it the perfect base for visiting Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT.
Did you know that original concept designs for Disney’s Polynesian Resort featured a prominent tower as the heart of the resort? Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows will complete the vision created by Disney Imagineers decades ago while embracing the rich culture from the Polynesian Islands.
When guests arrive at Island Tower, they will be greeted by traditional Polynesian tattoo designs created exclusively for the exterior, including a gorgeous Manta Ray that symbolizes freedom, protection and grace in the Polynesian culture. The Manta Ray is also revered as a guardian of the family, kind of like Gramma Tala in the Walt Disney Animation Studios film “Moana.”
Speaking of “Moana,” be sure to look for our fearless wayfinder and her friends as they are subtly featured in artwork throughout the resort, including Island Tower’s stunning lobby.
Inside the lobby, guests will be greeted by a panel installation on the ceiling inspired by several Polynesian Islands, showcasing wildlife native to each locale. Each animal holds a strong connection to the islands and symbolizes values important to the people of Polynesia.
Walt Disney Imagineering collaborated with over a dozen artists from around the world to create unique artworks that will be displayed throughout the resort. From preserved moss walls to sculptures made from recycled fishing nets, each piece will be inspired by the spirit of conservation and embody the rich culture of Polynesia.
Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows will feature a variety of room types that will sleep from two to nine guests, such as duo studios, spacious one- and two-bedroom villas and brand-new two-bedroom penthouse villas. And on June 6, all guests will be able to make reservations online or by contacting (407) 934-7639.
We can’t wait to share more details on Disney Travel News. There’s just no telling how far we’ll go with Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows!

Hello, travelers! Follow along for exclusive updates as we await the grand opening of Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, Disney Cruise Line’s newest, one-of-a-kind tropical retreat on the island of Eleuthera, The Bahamas.
Today, we’re excited to share new photos from here in Eleuthera, including a new look at the Bahamian-inspired art and architecture taking shape at this one-of-a-kind island destination.
Cabanas
Nestled along the sand dunes of Serenity Bay, the vibrantly colored architecture of the Serenity Bay Cabanas matches the Mabrika Cove Cabanas, which sit across Disney Lookout Cay at the arrival point of the destination.
Steps away from Serenity Bay BBQ and the area’s beach bar, these cabanas will be available for rent to offer a retreat for adults to take in Eleuthera’s stunning sand dunes and shimmering ocean waves.
Local Art
The bright turquoise ocean here in Eleuthera is beautiful, yes, but don’t forget to look up while you’re exploring Disney Lookout Cay. Can you spot some nature-inspired art under the pavilion? That is just a peek of the art that will fill these beautiful spaces, all drawn from the coral, seashells, fish, and flowers that inform the architecture and also inspire Eleuthera’s local artists.
