Calling all food lovers! Flavors of Florida presented by CORKCICLE is returning to Disney Springs with a menu that will make guests’ taste buds dance with delight. From July 1 through August 11, 2024, guests will have the opportunity to taste some of our must-try items at over 40 flavor-filled locations across Disney Springs.

Guests will be able to take part in a summer menu filled with citrus vibes, like the Orange Slushie from Amorette’s Patisserie, or the Key Lime Pie Marshmallows from Wondermade. Let’s not forget the mouthwatering Pork Belly Burnt End Tacos from City Works Eatery & Pour House. Whether guests are looking for sweet or savory, Disney Springs will have more than one way for them to celebrate the Flavors of Florida. And debuting on July 1, the Sunshine Stroll is a locally brewed orange pilsner that’s exclusive to Disney Springs at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar and outdoor vending carts throughout Disney Springs.  Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar will have appetizers incorporating the brew too.

Guests interested in seeing first-hand demonstrations from renowned chefs and restaurant owners are in luck because this year Disney Springs will be featuring the culinary series hosted by Kroger Delivery! New this year, guests can delight in pairing events featuring menus specialty curated for Flavors of Florida. Guests can enjoy exquisite dishes expertly paired with wine, beer, and cocktails. With only a few days left until opening day, the excitement is palpable as we eagerly anticipate the debut of our newest attraction – Tiana’s Bayou Adventure! We couldn’t be more thrilled for guests to join Princess Tiana and that jazz-loving alligator Louis in throwing the biggest bayou bash Magic Kingdom Park has ever seen.

To mark this special day, we’ve cooked up the top six ways to celebrate Princess Tiana’s story at Walt Disney World Resort when Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens on June 28 and all summer long. From food to merchandise, entertainment and more – guests can expect magic, joy and a whole lot of fun.

1 – Ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure on Opening Day

By now guests may have heard that Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will use a virtual queue! Guests can request to join through the My Disney Experience app at 7:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m. It will also be included as a Lightning Lane entrance in the Disney Genie+ service.

2 – Visit Disney’s Port Orleans Resorts

Guests can find a little piece of Crescent City right here in the heart of Central Florida at Disney’s Port Orleans Resorts.

From the New Orleans-inspired architecture and the horse-drawn carriage rides along the waterfront, to the swingin’ jazz scene at the Scat Cat Club Lounge and the seasonal beignet flavors at the Scat Cat Club Café … guests will be sure to pass a good time in true Louisiana style, just like Tiana.

3 – See Princess Tiana Take the Stage

If guests are at Magic Kingdom bright and early, they may see Princess Tiana as she drops on into the Let the Magic Begin Welcome Show in front of Cinderella Castle.

And of course, there’s the quick-stepping, tap-dancing New Orleans fun in the celebration of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “The Princess and the Frog” during Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire on the same stage. Then, guests can’t miss waving to Tiana and Prince Naveen as they visit Main Street U.S.A. during the Festival of Fantasy parade!

4 – Meet Princess Tiana at Princess Fairytale Hall

If guests have ever wanted to dig a little deeper with Princess Tiana and ask her all about her famous beignet recipe, now’s their chance. Swing by Princess Fairytale Hall at Magic Kingdom to say hello.

Tiana is always thrilled to meet new friends in between her many adventures around the park, especially ones with dreams as big as hers!

5 – Dine with Tiana at 1900 Park Fare 

Guests can check out the newly reopened 1900 Park Fare at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa for a magical dining experience with beloved characters who bring wishes to life! Guests’ taste buds can embark on a bayou adventure when they sample Tiana’s delicious gumbo at the buffet for dinner.

6 – Enjoy Some of Tiana’s Famous Beignets 

From savory to sweet, salty, and spicy – our culinary teams have crafted some Bayou-inspired dishes to enhance guests’ visit. And of course, no opening day is complete without something sweet!

For those craving a bite of something sweet, swing by Golden Oak Outpost from June 28 through Aug. 8 to savor Tiana’s Famous Beignets: light, sweet, and fluffy beignets dusted with powdered sugar and drizzled with honey.

A brand-new “Guardians of the Galaxy” dinner show is debuting at Worlds of Marvel on the Disney Treasure!

Following the structural completion milestone of the Disney Treasure in December 2023, the team in Papenburg, Germany has been focused on building out the interior spaces of the ship. This work includes preparations to bring Disney Cruise Line’s immersive Marvel-themed dining experience, Worlds of Marvel, to the Disney Treasure. In light of the progress being made, Ship’s Log readers are among the first to learn about a the new “Guardians of the Galaxy” dinner show coming to Worlds of Marvel on the Disney Treasure titled, “Marvel Celebration of Heroes: Groot Remix.”

The story will follow Groot as he brings guests along for on an on-screen quest to throw the ultimate surprise party for his friend, Rocket. All the while, diners will eat to the beat of an “awesome mix” of hit songs and can test their knowledge of the Marvel universe with trivia for the whole family. The new show will be offered to guests during one of two distinct nights at Worlds of Marvel, where they will also experience “Avengers: Quantum Encounter,” which first premiered on the Disney Wish.

At Walt Disney World, guests have told us they would prefer to have the option to do more of their planning before their theme park day. So, this summer we will make changes to our Disney Genie+ service and individual Lightning Lane entry, including new ways to plan ahead.    

On July 24, Walt Disney World will introduce new, simpler names to provide more clarity for everyone. Disney Genie+ service will become Lightning Lane Multi Pass, while individual Lightning Lane will now be known as Lightning Lane Single Pass.   

We will also be updating Lightning Lane passes to help guests:

• Make Lightning Lane plans before you’re here, for added confidence.     
• Choose your experiences and times prior to purchasing, so you know what you’re getting. 
• Book Lightning Lane passes for multiple vacation days, all in a single day. 

Here’s how Lightning Lane passes will work beginning July 24.

Lightning Lane Multi Pass 
When guests purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass, they may make up to 3 Lightning Lane selections in a theme park, in advance of your visit. They’ll also be able to choose available times as they make their selections. On the day of their visit, once they use a selection, they may check the My Disney Experience app for availability to make an additional selection.  

Lightning Lane Single Pass 
Lightning Lane Single Pass will work much like it does today, where guests can secure a time to ride one of our most highly demanded attractions, but they’ll now be able to make their purchase and plan in advance.       

How to Plan Ahead 
Guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel and other select hotels (Shades of Green Resort, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels) will be able to plan Lightning Lane passes up to 7 days in advance, for their entire stay (up to 14 days). All other guests can plan up to 3 days in advance. These advance purchase windows will let guests secure some of their must-do rides and experiences after they’ve had some time to decide what dining reservations they want to book and any other plans they may need to consider.  

Guests may purchase a Lightning Lane Multi Pass, a Lightning Lane Single Pass or both. The app will also be updated to make it quicker and easier to purchase and plan, with fewer steps and a new option to purchase Lightning Lane Single Pass and Lightning Lane Multi Pass in one transaction.        

Lightning Lane passes will blend features from our current services and the previously offered FastPass+ service, giving guests the choice to plan ahead and removing the hassle of planning during their vacation.

Disneyland Resort will also use the new Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass names beginning July 24. Based on the different ways we know guests visit Disneyland Resort, the way guests purchase, select and redeem Lightning Lane passes at Disneyland Resort will remain the same.  

The complimentary features of Disney Genie service will continue to be available in the My Disney Experience and Disneyland apps. Both apps have also gotten a series of upgrades over the last year to make features easier to use, including making dining reservations, mobile food ordering, and more. 

The holiday season will kick off November 15 at Disneyland Resort, bringing favorite traditions like Disney Festival of Holidays to Disney California Adventure Park, plus special overlays on beloved attractions, cherished seasonal spectaculars and dazzling wintry décor throughout the resort. To celebrate Halfway to the Holidays this year, we are sharing a sneak preview of the new wintertime attire that Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse will wear this season!

Mickey, Minnie and some of their friends will debut these charming new outfits in Disneyland Park, reminiscent of traditions of writing heartfelt letters to friends, family or even Santa Claus during the holiday season. Featuring striped stockings, detailed embroidery and festive postal trims, these looks have our bright stamp of approval!

We are halfway to the most wonderful time of the year, and there really is no better place to celebrate the holidays than at The Most Magical Place On Earth!

From dazzling decorations and special parades to exclusive events and mouth-watering seasonal treats, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. And since we are Halfway to the Holidays, here are 5 new and returning offerings that will have guests planning the ultimate holiday getaway to Walt Disney World Resort.

1. Disney Jollywood Nights is back!

Get your holiday glam ready, because Disney Jollywood Nights is once again rolling out the red carpet! On select nights November 9 through December 21, guests can get holly and jolly for five festive hours from 7:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. during this limited capacity, separately ticketed event.

Get ready to gather on Hollywood Boulevard for a new dazzling skating spectacular set to favorite holiday tunes. Several times each evening, take in the grace and skill of international champion skaters in an awe-inspiring twist on the traditional ice show.

Are rare character hugs on the holiday wish list? Jolly! This year’s event includes over 20 unique character experiences featuring both new and returning favorites.

Reunite with beloved characters like Phineas and Ferb, Santa Duffy and Santa Stitch, and look forward to fresh new faces such as Bo Peep, Lotso, Baloo, and King Louie from TaleSpin. Don’t forget, Disney PhotoPass digital downloads are included in your event ticket!

Returning culinary favorites – including that iconic Gertie cookie! – will be available alongside new treats. Upon exit, each guest will also receive one sweet treat created by Wondermade!

We’ve made a list of Disney Jollywood Nights surprises! In addition to meeting favorite characters, indulging in delicious treats and shopping, the night will be packed with entertaining shows like What’s This? Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along, Disney Holidays in Hollywood, and Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!

The Holiday Fiesta en la Calle will move to Animation Courtyard, and there guests will be able to spot Jose Carioca and Panchito from The Three Caballeros! Meanwhile, The Twilight Soirée at the Tip Top Club located in the Tower Courtyard will have guests dancing throughout the night! Jazzy Holidays at the Hollywood Brown Derby will return – we recommend getting a reservation due to limited space. 2. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Makes a Festive Return

Nothing beats experiencing the joy and holiday spirit Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party brings to Magic Kingdom Park!

If guests have a sweet tooth, they’ll be excited to hear that those delicious complimentary cookies and cocoa will be available throughout the party once again, making the evening even sweeter. Every night will be filled with festive cheer, from the beautifully decorated Main Street, U.S.A. to the enchanting holiday-themed attractions.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a limited capacity five-hour holiday event, kicking off November 8 and running on select nights through December 20 from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. Guests of select Disney Resorts hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin hotels and Shades of Green can purchase tickets starting on July 2. For all other guests, tickets will go on sale July 10.

The dates for 2024 are:

Enjoy festive traditions from around the world with amazing holiday storytellers, delicious dishes, merchandise, entertainment and more, each celebrating unique cultural traditions.

Get ready to satisfy the festive cravings at Holiday Kitchens. Located throughout the park and serving up a mouth-watering array of seasonal foods and drinks, there are delicious treats waiting for guests from around the globe.

One fan-favorite is the Candlelight Processional. Listening to a celebrity narrator tell the Christmas story, accompanied by a full orchestra and mass choir, is such a moving experience—it truly captures the magic of the holidays. 4. More Festive Offerings Across Walt Disney World Resort

We’re thrilled to share that many favorite holiday offerings are returning to our parks and Disney Springs this season!

At Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, the enchanting Merry Menagerie of artisan-sculpted winter animal puppets will be back amidst the beautiful holiday décor. And don’t forget to meet Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Daisy in their festive attires!

Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the yuletide projection show on the Hollywood Tower Hotel is making a comeback, and guests can catch Woody, Jessie and Buzz Lightyear in their festive attire in Toy Story Land.

Magic Kingdom will once again host the “Frozen Holiday Surprise” in front of Cinderella Castle, featuring Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Kristoff and the adorable Snowgies.

For a limited time, a new water short, “Emotional Rollercoaster,” highlighting Pixar’s “Inside Out 2,” is being shown ahead of “World of Color – ONE” presented by PANDORA® Jewelry at Disney California Adventure Park. When the lights dim around Paradise Bay, guests see inside Riley’s head, showing memories of her experiencing Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust on mist screens. Anger Makes His Disney Parks Debut

Beginning today, Anger from Pixar’s “Inside Out 2” will greet guests in Disney California Adventure Park at the Pixar Pier Band Shell. Kensington Tallman, who voices teenage Riley in the film, recently met up with Anger along with Joy and Sadness.

For a limited time during Pixar Fest, now through August 4, 2024, an “Inside Out 2” collectible medallion will be available at Bing Bong’s Sweet Stuff Medallion Machine in Disney California Adventure Park.

For a limited time, beginning today, Pixar Place Hotel at the Disneyland Resort will display three maquettes of new Pixar’s “Inside Out 2” characters: Anxiety, Ennui, and Embarrassment, along with panels of artwork from the film on the second floor of the hotel.

PhotoPass Lens at Disneyland Resort 

Beginning today, Disneyland Resort guests who purchase Disney Genie+ service can access a new experience from Disney PhotoPass Lenses featuring characters from “Inside Out 2” on the Disneyland app. With this lens, guests can get a glimpse inside the Headquarters control center and express their emotions with Joy, Anger, and Sadness.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom Park in Florida is opening on June 28 and for this one-of-a-kind party, Disney PhotoPass is cooking up new photo opportunities guests will want to know about. Here’s a breakdown – let good times roll.

We will, of course, be capturing guests as they plunge into the bayou  on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. This new themed attraction photo will also feature some of Tiana’s critter friends — and through some Disney PhotoPass magic,  a few surprises may show up!  Guests will be able to take home this unique souvenir with Disney PhotoPass Service’s all-inclusive digital download package, Memory Maker.*

Opening Day Commemorative Print Package Offer 

What’s more, to celebrate the opening of the attraction on June 28^th, we are excited to start offering a commemorative print package at the General Store, located at the exit of the attraction. This special package will be available in addition to the standard attraction photo prints also available for purchase.

This $32.95+tax commemorative print package will feature an 8×10 print of guests’ attraction photo, two recipe cards, a note of thanks from Tiana, and two specialty prints of Tiana and friends. In addition, guests will also receive a digital copy of the attraction photo in their photo gallery in the My Disney Experience app.

But that is not all! Disney PhotoPass Service has more in store for guests’ visit to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, including an all-new Magic Shot and an additional prop photo  inspired by our critter friends, and a new Disney PhotoPass Lens**

Of course, Disney PhotoPass Service has more to offer during a visit to Walt Disney WorldResort than just these newest treats at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.  We will get everyone in the picture at over 175 locations, including attraction photos onboard over a dozen attractions, 100 Magic Shots throughout all four parks and beyond, studio photography at four locations, and our private Capture Your Moment photo sessions.

Capturing memories with Disney PhotoPass is a must-do part of a trip, and Memory Maker, our all-inclusive digital photo download package, offers the perfect way for guests and their families to treasure them!

**With the purchase of Disney Genie+ service, Walt Disney World guests can access many Disney PhotoPass Lenses in the My Disney Experience app as soon as they enter the park. Annual Passholders can access many Disney PhotoPass Lenses in the My Disney Experience app starting on the first use of their Annual Pass. Select Disney PhotoPass Lenses are accessible only within designated areas of Walt Disney World Resort. Grab a snorkel, because today we’re diving in with the Disney Live Entertainment creative team working “behind-the-seas” on “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure” – an all-new theatrical production coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios this fall.  

And when we say all-new, we do mean all-new! In a brand-new reimagining of the Walt Disney Animation Studios classic “The Little Mermaid,” the show features all-new physical sets, cast of puppets, live performers, and stunning visuals. 

“We thought about what Ariel’s room may look like and came up with this collage style that you’ll see woven throughout the production,” said Sarah Schmidt, Creative Concept Artist & Illustrator for Disney Live Entertainment. “This new look really informed every design decision – from scenic, to the puppets, even the custom digital content being created for the show.”

To pull off this artful blend of practical and projected scenic design, of real and digital puppetry, the team is pairing some tried and true methods (the blacklight puppets are back!) with state-of-the-art technology. 

“We’re using some really cutting-edge tools like motion capture technology, which you may have seen used in blockbuster films,” said James Silson, Show Director.  “Basically, we have a live performer in a suit covered in sensors, and the data captured from their performance helps us create a digital animation of the character, which our animators then use to bring them to life on stage.” 

This cutting-edge digital imagery will be used throughout the show to accent what is happening on stage, bringing to life characters like King Triton, Ursula, and even Ariel’s sisters, who kick the production off with an all-new “Daughters of Triton” number.  

“We’re really blending the line between real and digital in ways we’ve never done before to completely fill the stage for these show-stopping scenes,” said James. “You’re going to see these large new physical set pieces we’ve created blend seamlessly with a digital environment in a way that really fills the stage. You’ll see digital puppets transform into real ones right before your eyes. You’ll even see animated characters performing in the same space as real actors. It’s going to feel like magic!”
