Restaurant Spotlight: Handmade Pasta and More at Tony’s Town Square Restaurant

Nestled at the front of Main Street, U.S.A., Tony’s Town Square Restaurant is one of the hidden gems of Magic Kingdom® Park. Here, youcan relive the romance of Disney’s 1995 animated classic “Lady and the Tramp” in a charming turn-of-the-century trattoria where the famous love-struck pups shared their first plate of spaghetti and meatballs. With its whitewash balustrades, French doors, and expansive front porch, Tony’s classic Italian restaurant is the perfect spot for hopeless romantics and pasta-lovers alike!

You can start your meal off with one (or more!) dishes from the antipasti menu like the Caprese with vine-ripened tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and balsamic glaze. Or if they’re looking for a light seafood appetizer, Tony’s is also known for their crispy calamari served with spicy house-made pickles and herb aïoli.

For the main course, you will find a variety of Italian dishes such as pizza pies, meatballs, and a variety of pastas. Tony’s pizza pies come topped with a blend of cheeses as well as a choice of pepperoni, sausage, or garden vegetables and make for a perfect shareable entrée! The Roman-style steak is another great option with spinach and ricotta ravioli, heirloom tomatoes, wilted chard, hazelnut, and lemon Parmesan crema, or you can chow down on the classic chicken parmigiana featuring lightly-breaded chicken breast topped with provolone and Tony’s marinara sauce served over freshly-made thin spaghetti and local vegetables.

Of course, they won’t want to miss out on the pasta! You can choose from options like chicken fettuccine alfredo or ravioli and house-made gnocchi primavera, both topped with their choice of grilled chicken breast or grilled jumbo shrimp. The scampi pasta is also a popular dish which features fresh linguine pasta made from scratch in-house and tossed with shrimp, classic butter sauce, Parmesan, and fresh vegetables.

And they can never go wrong with good ol’ spaghetti and meatballs! The freshly-made thin spaghetti can be topped with their choice or hand-rolled pork-beef meatballs or Italian sausage. If you are looking for a plant-based option, they can even order mushroom meatballs!

For dessert, they can end their meal with a sweet treat that they won’t forget. Some options include a cannoli with ricotta cream-filled shells and powdered sugar or the Tiramisù featuring espresso-soaked sponge cake layered with mascarpone sweet cream and served with chocolate sauce. There’s even a yummy chocolate cupcake option for the kiddos!

Whether it’s for lunch or dinner, Tony’s Town Square Restaurant is a must-try spot for you when visiting Magic Kingdom Park.

Remy Chef Honored as One of World’s 10 Best

Most people know that Remy, one of the two adult-exclusive restaurants on Disney Cruise Line, features subtle nods to the Disney•Pixar film “Ratatouille” and its star, Remy. But what they may not know is that the menu in this French-inspired restaurant is curated, in part, by one of the world’s 10 best chefs, Chef Arnaud Lallement.

In a list compiled by “Le Chef” and voted on by two and three-star Michelin chefs, Chef Arnaud was recently named one of the world’s best chefs based upon the values of the cooking profession and the exceptional cuisine featured in their restaurants. In addition to Remy, Chef Arnaud is world renowned for his Michelin three-star restaurant, L’Assiette Champenoise, just outside Reims, France.

Chef Arnaud collaborates with Chef Scott Hunnel, from the award-winning Victoria & Albert’s at Walt Disney World® Resort, to create a menu at Remy that features superior products and seasonal ingredients sourced from around the world.

With gourmet cuisine and a unique approach to wine service, in which you are invited to meet with a sommelier to taste and pre-select their wines for the evening, Remy melds classic and contemporary styles into a sophisticated new dining concept. Dinner at Remy is a lavish and leisurely affair, starting with a signature chilled Taittinger Champagne cocktail made tableside, followed by eight to nine small courses. The restaurant offers two stellar wine lists: a special French list, with 200 vintages from most every region in France, and Remy’s Vault, a separate and exclusive wine list with rare wines from all over the world.

Bon appétit!

Must-Try Drinks at Oga’s Cantina at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

The heartbeat of Black Spire Outpost, Oga’s Cantina is a place where even the blaster-bolt scorches on the walls tell a story. You can gather to share your own tales from around the galaxy as they enjoy exotic beverages served in unique vessels and listen to spirited musical entertainment from DJ R-3X, the former droid pilot from Star Tours. Whether sidling up to the cantina’s counter or sliding into one of the establishment’s back booths, this is the best place to catch up on local gossip, make a new friend or form a new alliance.

For the adults, the Fuzzy Tauntaun is a mix of peach vodka, peach schnapps, orange juice and tangerine, and pure cane sugar that topped off with a dab of “buzz button tingling” foam. And yes, you can let you know, it will make your lips tingle! The Jedi Mind Trick is another guest favorite. This drink fuses fruit flavors of grapefruit, white grape juice, lime juice.

The kids can try Jabba Juice, which is captured fresh from a creature that inhabits Oga’s daily (that tastes like Simply Orange with pineapple, kiwi, and cantaloupe). It’s topped with blueberry popping pearls. Another must-have for guests of all ages is a Blue Bantha, that’s the land’s Blue Milk served chilled with bantha-inspired vanilla-butter sugar cookie on top. Yum!
