PANDORA Makes the Holiday Season Magical with Launch of Disney Jewelry Collection

Magic is in-store this holiday season, as PANDORA Jewelry unveils its Disney collection of original jewelry pieces. Created in collaboration with Disney Consumer Products, the beautifully designed assortment inspired by some of Disney’s most beloved characters will be available at PANDORA concept stores, as well as select Walt Disney Parks and Resorts merchandise locations.

The new collection includes sterling silver and 14K gold charms that combine the quality and craftsmanship of PANDORA with the whimsy of Disney designs. Many of the new pieces are inspired by the iconic images of Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, including sterling silver character dangles, which can be added to a PANDORA bracelet or worn on a necklace for a touch of timeless Disney style. Hand-blown Murano glass charms featuring playful Mickey Mouse details and Minnie Mouse’s signature style, add pops of color and pattern to necklaces, bracelets and bangles.

PANDORA introduces several new pave charms as part of the collection, including Mickey and Minnie dangles, sterling silver character clips and an openwork charm featuring Mickey Mouse’s instantly recognizable silhouette.

The new collection also includes charms that commemorate aspirational elements of the PANDORA and Disney brands, including two-tone “Believe” and “Dream” openwork designs and a sterling silver “Be Magical” heart.

The initial launch of the co-branded collection will include 25 pieces, which will be sold at PANDORA concept stores throughout the U.S., as well as Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Central America and the Caribbean. Pieces from the new collection start at $40.

Meet Baymax and the Whole Big Hero 6 Gang in New Big Hero 6 Product Line Available Now

Disney Consumer Products (DCP) has rolled out a robust range of products that celebrate the comedy-adventure Big Hero 6, which debuts in theaters November 7, 2014. Best-in-class licensees including Bandai, Freeze, GDC and Jay Franco in addition to Disney Store and Disney Publishing Worldwide have developed an assortment of action figures, plush, role-play toys, apparel, home décor, books and more that take inspiration from the film’s action-filled adventures. The film’s breakout character Baymax is the star of the product collection with products ranging from interactive action figures with transformative battling capabilities, to plush and tech accessories that celebrate his compassionate and humorous personality.

Additionally, apparel licensee Threadless is hosting a contest from October 27 through November 17 that invites participants to design an original t-shirt inspired by Hiro, Baymax and the rest of the Big Hero 6 team. The winner will receive a prize package including $2,000 cash, a $500 Threadless gift card and a hand-drawn, framed Big Hero 6 piece of artwork from a Disney character artist. Could Disney’s Tsum Tsum be the next toy craze?

They’re soft, cuddly and adorable, and they’re making kids go gaga. No, the Beanie Babies from the ’90s haven’t made a comeback, but Disney’s new Tsum Tsum are inspiring a similar craze. Tsum Tsum are plush, bean-stuffed Disney characters inspired by a popular smartphone app of the same name in which players need to match similar icons to score points (think Candy Crush, or Bejeweled).

Sensing a Tsum Tsum Craze Afoot, Disney Rushes to Supply Fans

Has Disney stumbled across the new Beanie Baby?tsum-tsum

Last month, a smattering of Disney Stores started selling a pellet-filled toy the size of a Twinkie. Priced at $4.95 apiece, the little oblong blobs, called Tsum Tsum, look like various Disney characters and are intended to be purchased in groups and stacked like firewood. (Tsum, pronounced tsoom, translates as “stack” in Japanese, according to Disney.)

Disney and Kohl’s Get D-Signed in Time for Back to School

Disney Consumer Products (DCP) and Kohl’s today announced they’re bringing the newest iteration of the tween lifestyle brand “D-Signed” exclusively to Kohl’s. Offering a “mix & match” assortment of apparel that gives girls the opportunity to create their own styles, the “D-Signed” brand continues to be inspired by the fun fashions featured on Disney Channel shows. The hit tween brand will launch with the popular “Girl Meets World” collection and is available at Kohl’s stores nationwide and online at kohls.com this summer.
