ASUS to Serve As Preferred Gaming Monitor Partner On 2016 Wizard World Tour
Wizard World, Inc. (OTCBB: WIZD) today announced that ASUS will serve as the Preferred Gaming Monitor Partner at Wizard World pop culture, comic con and gaming conventions throughout 2016, beginning with Portland, February 19-21
ASUS monitors will be featured in eSports competitions and free play areas at Wizard World comic con and Gaming events. The industry-leading monitors will also be integrated with Official Anime Entertainment Partner BANDAI NAMCO’s Tekken 7 gaming cabinets. Wizard World is the only tour in the U.S. offering consumers a chance to free play the pre-release game and even compete in tournaments for cash and prizes.

Wizard World will also allocate significant space on the exhibit floor for major gaming-focused activations and a live streaming competition stage at 10 of its conventions to be held in the following cities: Portland, Ore. Frozen, a new musical based on Disney’s Academy Award®-winning musical film, is slated to join Disney hits Aladdin and The Lion King on Broadway at a theatre to be announced in spring 2018, Disney Theatrical Productions announced today on TwiJer @FrozenBroadway. Frozen will play its out-of-town tryout beginning in summer 2017 at a theatre to be announced. As previously announced, Frozen features music and lyrics by creators of the film score Kristen Anderson-Lopez (In Transit, Up Here) and Robert Lopez (Avenue Q, The Book of Mormon, Up Here) and a book by Jennifer Lee (Wreck-It Ralph), the film’s screenwriter and director (with Chris Buck). Frozen won 2014 Oscars® for Best Song (“Let It Go”) and Best Animated Feature. Golden Globe Award and Obie winner and two-time Tony Award® nominee Alex Timbers (Peter and the Starcatcher, Here Lies Love, Amazon’s Mozart in the Jungle) is Frozen’s director and Tony-winner Peter Darling (Billy Elliot, Matilda) is choreographer.
The design team for Frozen includes scenic and costume design by seven-time Tony Award winner Bob Crowley (Mary Poppins, The Coast of Utopia, An American in Paris), lighting design by five-time Tony Award winner Natasha KaK (Aladdin, An American in Paris, The Glass Menagerie) and sound design by four-time Tony nominee Peter Hylenski (The ScoLsboro Boys, Motown, After Midnight). Two-time Tony Award winner Stephen Oremus (Avenue Q, Wicked, The Book of Mormon) is music supervisor and creates vocal and incidental arrangements. Casting and Broadway dates and theatre will be announced at a future date.
Frozen is produced by Disney Theatrical Productions, under the direction of Thomas Schumacher.

One of Disney‘s newest character-fueled experiences is currently on a seasonal hiatus. Club Disney — the continuous indoor dance party that launched at the new Sunset Showcase theater just two months ago at Disney’s Hollywood Studios — closed earlier this month.
The Walt Disney Company Reports Record Quarterly Earnings for the First Quarter of Fiscal 2016
The Walt Disney Company (NYSE: DIS) today reported record quarterly earnings of $2.9 billion for its first fiscal quarter ended January 2, 2016 compared to $2.2 billion for the prior-year quarter. Diluted earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter increased 36% to $1.73 from $1.27 in the prior-year quarter. Excluding certain items affecting comparability(1), EPS for the quarter increased 28% to $1.63.
“Driven by the phenomenal success of Star Wars, we delivered the highest quarterly earnings in the history of our Company, marking our 10th consecutive quarter of double-digit EPS growth,” said Robert A. Iger, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, The Walt Disney Company. “We’re very pleased with our results, which continue to validate our strategic focus and investments in brands and franchises to drive long-term growth across the entire Company.”
