“Frozen” Characters Appearing on Select Disney Cruise Line Sailings This Summer

DCLPrincess Anna and Queen Elsa from the popular Disney animated film, “Frozen” are appearing on select 7-night and longer sailings aboard Disney Magic, Disney Wonder and Disney Fantasy throughout the summer.

Guests can meet and greet these favorite Disney Royals at various times during select cruises. Guests can refer  to their Personal Navigator once onboard the ship for specific meeting times and locations.

*Please note this summer’s royal tour does not currently include visits aboard the Disney Dream.

New Disney Cruise Line Infant Age Limit Policy

Effective July 18, 2014, for all new bookings for sailings commencing after Jan. 1, 2015, the minimum age to sail aboard the Disney Cruise Line ships will increase from 12 weeks to 6 months of age on most itineraries. The minimum age for Transatlantic, Hawai’i and Panama Canal itineraries will increase to 1 year of age. This change is consistent with the age restrictions of others in the cruise industry.

Guests with existing reservations to sail in 2015 with a child between the ages of 12 weeks and 1 year will be allowed to sail on their existing reservations. After July 18, 2014, all new bookings for 2015 sailings must comply with the new age limits.

Travel + Leisure Names Disney Cruise Line Top Mega-Ship Cruise Line

Disney Cruise Line has been named as the Top Mega-Ship Cruise Line and Top Mega-Ship Cruise Line for Families by Travel + Leisure readers in the magazine’s World’s Best Awards 2014. This is the first time Disney Cruise Line has received the Top Mega-Ship Cruise Line award and the sixth consecutive year it has been recognized as a top cruise line for families.

The World’s Best Awards are selected by Travel + Leisure readers who participate in a survey and rate cruise lines on several criteria, including staterooms, food, service, itineraries, excursions and value.

Disney Cruise Line has consistently received distinguished awards and recognition from the travel industry since first setting sail in 1998. These awards have included all aspects of the operation from dining and entertainment to youth activities and spa facilities.

Disney Cruise Line Navigator App Now Available On Disney Wonder

Following its launch on Disney Fantasy, Disney Dream and the Disney Magic, the new Disney Cruise Line Navigator app is now available on the Disney Wonder.

Prior to their departure, guests can download the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app from the Apple App StoreSM or Google Play™ store, allowing them to experience the convenience of having the Personal Navigator in an electronic version right at their fingertips once on board.

Video – Disney Cruise Line Announces Fall 2015 Itineraries

In fall 2015, Disney Cruise Line will offer limited time itineraries to exciting destinations including two sailings to the Hawaiian islands, a visit to the golden coast with October departures from San Diego sailing the beautiful Baja with stops in Ensenada and Cabo Sal Lucas, Mexico – and, during the holiday season, departures from Galveston, Texas with sailings to The Bahamas. Disney Cruise Line will continue to sail to the Caribbean and Bahamas from Port Canaveral and Miami, Florida.

Disney Cruise Line Returning to Hawai’i, West Coast and Galveston in 2015

In the fall of 2015, Disney Cruise Line is returning to popular destinations and home ports for limited-time engagements. Two Hawai’i cruises, a return to the West Coast with departures from San Diego and a Galveston, Texas homecoming make up a season of special sailings.

Hawai’i Sailings

The Disney Wonder will explore the Hawaiian Islands with two special 10-night cruises in September. Sailing through breathtaking scenery, your Clients can experience the beauty and natural wonders of this exciting destination.

10-night Hawai’i with two days in Honolulu – Vancouver to Honolulu

Ports: Vancouver; Hilo (Hawai’i Island); Nawilliwili (Kauai); Kahului (Maui) and Honolulu (Oahu)

West Coast Sailings

Starting in October, the Disney Wonder heads to the West Coast for a limited-time offering six cruises from San Diego, California sailing to Ensenada and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Galveston, Texas Sailings 

In November, the Disney Wonder returns to Galveston for the holiday season, offering a variety of sailings to The Bahamas and the Western Caribbean.

Disney Cruise Line will also sail from Port Canaveral and Miami, Florida to The Bahamas and Caribbean on a variety of itineraries. All of these cruises will include a stop at Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay.

Bookings for the fall 2015 itineraries open to Gold and Platinum Castaway Club Members via phone on May 20, 2014 and to all Guests on May 21, 2014 via phone and online.
