Hey everyone! So as I’m sure many other people have started school this week, did you take like 500 weeks to decided what you were gonna wear the first day? Maybe you didn’t, and jeans and a tshirt were you’re thing, (That’s awesome), but for me it took weeks of planning. And finally, I got the idea. I’m gonna DisneyBound. If you don’t know what DisneyBound or the art of Disney bounding is, it’s a fairly simple concept. Created by a blogger named Leslie Kay, DisneyBounding is dressing up like a Disney character, only not in their costume, in regular street clothes. For example, if you were to DisneyBound as Jessie from Toy Story, you would simply need some regular jeans, a white button up shirt, a yellow hair bow, cowboy boots some black or,maybe if you’re wild, cow shaped, earrings.

You may not look exactly like her or her face character in the park, but you incorporated her look, her colors, and even some of the patterns her character. Disneybounding is a very basic form of cosplaying, only not dressing in full out costume. It’s a really fun thing to do, especially to get around the rule in the parks saying adults can’t dress up in full costume. Sometimes however, it can be hard to do on a budget, especially when you’re wanting to do a specific character. Thrift stores, Goodwills and clearance racks are the best places to shop when trying to do this. When I got around to trying to pick a character, I knew for a fact that I couldn’t do my favorite character, I would have to buy a whole news complete outfit, and I wanted to try and use the stuff I already had in my closet. After doing research, watching tons of Disney movies, and raiding my closet twice, yes twice, I finally found all my pieces to DisneyBound as none other…. Fix-it-Felix. Now Felix’s outfit was pretty easy to duplicate.

All I had to put together was a chambray shirt (it’s a button up made out of denim), some skinny jeans, and brown lace up boots. It was still fashion-y while a strong present of Felix was represented. I wish I could Disney bound every outfit, and I encourage you to try it at least once.
