IMAX® And Disney Set Toni Myers’ New 3D Space Documentary A Beautiful Planet For Release On April 29, 2016
IMAX Corporation (NYSE: IMAX) today announced that the latest IMAX® 3D cinematic space adventure from acclaimed filmmaker Toni Myers, officially now titled A Beautiful Planet, will debut domestically in IMAX® theatres April 29, 2016.
Additionally, A Beautiful Planet, a co-production between IMAX Entertainment and The Walt Disney Studios, will receive a special presentation at the Giant Screen Cinema Association’s (GSCA) International Conference and Trade Show held next week in San Francisco, where Myers will be on hand to unveil footage from the film.
A Beautiful Planet is a breathtaking portrait of Earth from space, providing a unique perspective and increased understanding of our planet and galaxy as never seen before. Made in cooperation with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the film features stunning footage captured by the astronauts aboard the International Space Station.
“Toni has crafted a remarkable film that uniquely captures the raw beauty of our planet,” said Greg Foster, Senior Executive Vice President, IMAX Corp. and CEO of IMAX Entertainment. “In collaboration with our long-time friends at Disney, we’re so excited to bring the entertaining and creative A Beautiful Planet to IMAX audiences during Earth Month next year, making it a one-of-a-kind celebration and appreciation of the place we call home—in IMAX.”

Myers has been editing, writing, producing and directing films specifically tailored for The IMAX Experience® since 1971. Her most recent documentary feature film, 2010’s acclaimed Hubble 3D, has grossed nearly $70 million in IMAX® theatres to date.
A Beautiful Planet will be presented in IMAX® 3D and 2D for digital, Laser and IMAX 15/70 locations.
Jungle Cruise Sunrise Safari Breakfast Experience Coming to Disneyland Park
A wild and once-in-a-lifetime experience is coming to Disneyland® Park. The Jungle Cruise Sunrise Safari Breakfast will take place on select dates from Sept. 21-Dec. 2, 2015.
Guests can head deep into the African veldt for a delicious breakfast as they join the newest batch of recruits for the world-famous Jungle Cruise attraction.

After the feast, guests will get a crash course in Jungle Skipper training before getting behind the wheel of their own boat to recite that famous spiel. Upon Initiation into the elite “Fraternal League of Secret Skippers,” guests will receive an exclusive keepsake—a tribal mask inspired by original concept art for the Jungle Cruise attraction.
The price is $300 per person, including tax and gratuity. Disneyland Park admission is not included in the tour price. Guests will be escorted out of the park at the end of their adventure. If guests have purchased admission for the park on the day of their reservation, they will be able to re-enter once the park opens.
