Mystical Spirits of the Blue Bayou – New Premium Dining Experience During Mickey’s Halloween Party at Disneyland Park
During this fall’s Mickey’s Halloween Party at Disneyland® Resort, guests will be able to take part in a new premium dining experience – Mystical Spirits of the Blue Bayou.
After dinner, guests will receive a limited-edition custom lithograph featuring art from a Disney Animator. Finally, the Shadow Man bids his guests adieu as they are escorted to a special viewing area for the “Halloween Screams” fireworks spectacular
Mystical Spirits of the Blue Bayou will run from 7-9:45 p.m. during Mickey’s Halloween Party nights Sept. 25-Oct. 31, 2015. The cost is $150 per person for adults and children (ages 3-9). Tax and gratuity are included. Admission to Mickey’s Halloween Party is not included and must be purchased separately.

Marvel Music To Release Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Soundtrack
Marvel Music is releasing the soundtrack for Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. physical CD on October 9, 2015. The digital album is available now. EMMY Award® winner Bear McCreary (Outlander, The Walking Dead) composed the music for the series.
“I’ve always adored superheroes and their musical fanfares,” said McCreary. “Collaborating with Marvel, Joss Whedon and his creative team is truly a dream come true. Together, we craft a score each week that I hope measures up to the insanely high standards of Marvel fans around the world.”
“The first season of Marvel‘s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was the most ambitious season of television I have ever been involved in. The sheer scope of this project was daunting: to score 22 episodes in 22 unique orchestral sessions, with orchestras ranging from 55 to 95 players, at the best sound stages in Los Angeles, with each episode requiring minimally 30 minutes of score!”
Included on the soundtrack are some of Marvel and McCreary’s favorite cues, including the main title theme, “Aftermath of the Uprising” and “0-8-4,” and “Cello Concerto” from the episode “The Only Light in the Darkness,” an episode that centered around Coulson’s ex-girlfriend, a cellist.
“My musical fascination with Coulson’s ex began in Episode 11 [The Magical Place]. There was a scene where Raina mentions The Cellist to Coulson and strikes a deep, emotional nerve,” said McCreary. “I was thrilled as I read the script for ‘The Only Light in the Darkness’, realizing that the episode would not only provide a chance for me to expand the Cellist Theme, but that the character herself would actually play it on screen.” McCreary worked closely with the actress who played The Cellist, Amy Acker, on set to make sure it appeared she was a cello virtuoso.
The episode ‘0-8-4’ blends grandiose orchestral writing with intense synths. McCreary is also noted for his use of ethnic instrumentation in his scores. He described, “this episode is almost entirely one giant action cue (or so it felt when I was writing it) so I relied on the heavy synths and pounding percussion to cut through the chaos during moments when the orchestra alone would be unable to compete with the sound design. The South American setting of “0-8-4″ gave me an excuse to bring an ethnic component to the score.”

New! Ferrytale Wishes: A Fireworks Dessert Cruise at Walt Disney World Resort
Guests visiting the Walt Disney World® Resort will soon be able to set sail for “Ferrytale Wishes” – an exclusive dessert party and unique fireworks viewing experience on Seven Seas Lagoon. As they sail aboard one of the iconic double stack ferryboats, guests will decadent desserts, specialty beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and a one-of-a-kind perspective of the famous Wishes nighttime spectacular above Magic Kingdom® Park.
The menu includes a variety of desserts, a fruit and cheese display and ice cream novelties. Guests will also receive a souvenir acrylic palette plate and glow glass once on board.
Ferrytale Wishes will first set sail on Oct. 5, 2015 with additional sailings offered on select dates. Guests may view the Happy HalloWishes or Holiday Wishes Nighttime Spectacular if sailing on an event party night. Reservation times are 1 hour prior to fireworks, and Guests must check-in at the Ferryboat launch at the Transportation and Ticket Center at least 50 minutes prior to fireworks to ensure they are on the ferryboat before it sails.
The cost is $99 per adult, $69 per child age 3 to 9 (tax and gratuity included). Bookings are now open for Ferrytale Wishes. Advance reservations are recommended and can be made by calling 407-WDW-TOUR (407-939-8687) or online at Disneyworld.com.

Rockin’ Burger Block Party and Yelloween Masquerade Premium Events at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival
With the Epcot® International Food & Wine Festival at Walt Disney World® Resort just a few weeks away, now is a great time to remind guests about this year’s Premium Events. Here’s a closer look at two of the delicious offerings available during the festival, which takes place Sept. 25-Nov. 16, 2015.
At the Rockin’ Burger Block Party in World ShowPlace, guests can feast on a selection of delectable burgers, sliders and finger foods, including a coffee-crusted beef short rib burger, a spiced lamb burger, a shrimp and scallop burger, spicy-sticky pig wings, veggie pot stickers and cheeseburger spring rolls. They can even vote on the best burger of the night. Plus, as guests party the night away with a live DJ, they can enjoy a variety of craft beers, wines and cocktails. And, for a sweet end to the evening there are over-the-top desserts to enjoy, including cinnamon roll fireball bread pudding, snickerdoodle-crusted apple custard crisp and chocolate ganache brownies.

Party for the Senses Yelloween Masquerade
For one night only, guests can grab their yellow and black attire for the elegant Yelloween Masquerade Party Oct. 31, 2015 from 7-9:30 p.m. This very special Party for the Senses event celebrates Halloween with an alluring array of menu items paired with champagne, wines, craft beers and specialty cocktails. Guests can revel the night away with tantalizing music and magnificent visuals in a unique experience unlike any other Party for the Senses event. Eighth Annual Disney Parks Moms Panel Search Opens
Disney Parks calls upon passionate Disney fans and seasoned trip planners dedicated to helping others create magical vacation memories to apply for a spot on the 2016 Disney Parks Mom Panel. Now in its eighth year, the online trip-planning forum features an array of panelists specializing in each unique Disney destination and experience. This year, Disney seeks bilingual panelists and savvy world travelers to share their valuable expertise with its visitors. Since its inception in 2008, the panel has grown to include a variety of enthusiastic and diverse Disney-loving experts, composed of moms, dads, grandparents, and even aunts. Now offered in English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese, the program is easily adapted for Disney Parks’ culturally-rich visitors. Users have access to a robust library of questions and answers to satisfy any trip-planning inquiry, from dining and entertainment recommendations to shopping and transportation tips, and beyond. The application process includes a series of written questions and submissions, with the final round in the form of a brief phone interview. Once the search is complete, the top candidates will be officially announced as members of the Disney Parks Moms Panel in January 2016. Southern California Man Moves From Cheering Section to Winners Circle Sunday at the Disneyland Half Marathon
James Lander from Fullerton, Calif. ran and won his first runDisney race this morning at the 10th annual Disneyland Half Marathon presented by Cigna. He led the field of nearly 15,000 runners and crossed the finish line more than six minutes ahead of the second place winner from Sao Paulo, Brazil, 35-year-old Valdir Aparecido Bueno.
Lander, 36, used to stand on the sidelines and watch his wife run multiple runDisney races but decided this time, he wanted to get in on the action. So he did. And won, finishing in 1:08:56
“I’ve loved this race, even though I had never done it before, because everyone has an amazing time,” said Lander. “I see people laughing and smiling the entire way versus most races where everyone looks like they are killing themselves. It’s a special thing! It’s really great!”
Lander has run competitively for years. He’s a local chiropractor and claims that running “is just part of what chiropractors do.” He used to be on a professional marathon team, winning many times, but now runs a couple of half marathons and local races a year to support the community.
Momoko Tanaka, 29, from Urayasu-shi, Japan, wrote her own chapter in the race’s annals today coming in first place for the women, finishing in 1:21:30. This is the first time in the race’s 10 year history that an international runner has won. Tanaka finished just ahead of last year’s female champion, Jennifer Berry, 34, from Denver, Colo. Berry crossed the finish line in 1:23:21, beating her prior year’s time by 12 seconds.
All half marathon finishers take home unique 10th annual medals to commemorate the occasion. More than 400 “legacy’’ runners ran this weekend, completing all 10 Disneyland Half Marathons since the inaugural race in 2006. The half marathon traveled through Disney California Adventure Park, Disneyland Park, the streets of Anaheim and Angel Stadium.
Runners celebrated Thursday night with a Disneyland Half Marathon 10th Annual party. Guests experienced select attractions, Disney entertainment and character meet & greets in Disneyland Park West Side. As the event coincides with Disneyland’s 60th Anniversary Diamond Celebration, the party gave runners exclusive viewing of Disneyland’s “Paint the Night” Parade which is part of the 60th anniversary celebration.
More than 29,000 runners from across the nation and 28 countries gathered in Southern California to celebrate the 10th annual Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend. The weekend of events also included the Disneyland 5K, runDisney Kids Races and the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo.
