Disney has raised the curtain on “Beauty and the Beast” aboard the Disney Dream! Their exclusive retelling of this tale as old as time is now wowing families in the Walt Disney Theatre.

This brand-new Disney Cruise Line theatrical production is both emotionally moving and visually stunning. The classic story is brought to life in an entirely new way using high-definition projections, innovative puppetry, elaborate costuming and, of course, classic Disney storytelling.

Here’s a look at scenes from this spectacular musical.

Exciting new spaces and new experiences designed for guests of all ages are coming to the Disney Magic in March 2018. From family dining in an enchanted kingdom, to a transformed teen club, to a sophisticated café exclusively for adults, the ship’s newest highlights include:

An Enchanting Dining Experience for Families

At Rapunzel’s Royal Table, families will delight in an all-new dining experience inspired by the beloved story of Disney’s “Tangled.” The first table service restaurant themed to “Tangled” that features characters and live entertainment will transport Disney Magic guests to the kingdom of Corona for an evening of music and interactive fun featuring Rapunzel and the mischievous Snuggly Duckling Thugs.

Guests will step inside a regal ballroom in the royal castle, lit by glowing wish lanterns and adorned with colorful drawings that reflect Rapunzel’s artistic talents. Here, the King and Queen of Corona invite everyone to take part in a festive celebration of Rapunzel’s birthday and the anniversary of her return to the kingdom.

Throughout dinner, guests of all ages will be treated to live entertainment, including spirited singing and dancing led by the maître d’, a merry band of musicians, the mischievous Snuggly Duckling Thugs and of course, Princess Rapunzel herself.

The family fun is complete with themed menus, special activities and a lively parade to cap off the evening in Corona. The charm and enchantment of “Tangled” in Rapunzel’s Royal Table is the perfect pairing to “Tangled: The Musical” – the spellbinding original production that delights guests during each Disney Magic sailing.

Redesigned Retreat Just for Teens

Vibe, the space on the ship reserved for teens ages 14-17, is being transformed into a trendy urban loft environment. At Vibe, teens can enjoy a new coffee and smoothie bar, play video and virtual reality games, and check out other cool activities like a DJ spin-off and movie making. Activities at Vibe are organized and hosted by trained Disney counselors who facilitate the fun and interaction among teen guests.

Refined Escape Exclusively for Adults

Adults can relax at Cove Café, an adult-exclusive retreat that will be redesigned in a sophisticated tropical style. It’s the perfect place to sip a specialty coffee or tea throughout the day, or indulge in wine or a cocktail and light bites during the evening hours.

In this serene setting by the Quiet Cove Pool, adult beverage tastings are also available at select times for an additional fee. Just steps away, the adjacent Signals Bar will also be transformed with a similar look.

Elsewhere around the Disney Magic, other enhancement highlights include the addition of Club Disney Junior in Disney’s Oceaneer Club for children and a redesigned Rainforest Room with steam and hydrotherapy in Senses Spa for adults.

The new enhancements debut on Disney Magic starting March 9, 2018, on sailings from Miami, Fla. The four- and five-night Disney Magic sailings from Miami visit Key West, Fla.; Nassau, Bahamas and Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay. Beginning on May 14, 2018, the Disney Magic repositions to Europe for the summer season.

When Star Wars Day at Sea returns on 15 special sailings aboard the Disney Fantasy this January through April, guests will have more opportunities than ever to meet your favorite Star Wars characters on a Disney cruise.

New in 2018, guests are guaranteed a time to meet and take photographs with C-3PO and R2-D2, Chewbacca and Darth Vader. Before they even step onboard, they’ll have the chance to reserve time with these character experiences online under the My Disney Cruise section of disneycruise.com.

These encounters are just some of the ways guests can celebrate the legendary adventures and iconic characters from the Star Wars galaxy. The event features a full day of fun, including Star Wars-themed family and youth activities, plus a deck party spectacular with an extraordinary fireworks display.

In early 2019, Disney Cruise Line will return to favorite destinations on a variety of itineraries, including an expanded two-month season from San Diego to the sun-drenched Baja and Mexican Riviera. A host of options to the Bahamas and the Caribbean from Florida ports, plus cruises to the Southern Caribbean from San Juan, Puerto Rico, take guests to visit timeless tropical locales and experience endless amounts of Disney magic.

From January to May, all cruises departing from Florida feature a stop at Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island paradise reserved exclusively for Disney Cruise Line Guests. The award-winning island is a pristine Bahamian oasis boasting clear turquoise waters, white-sand beaches, world-class recreation and signature Disney hospitality.

Disney Cruise Line guests will celebrate Marvel Day at Sea on the Disney Magic during seven special sailings from New York in October and November 2017 and eight special voyages from Miami departing January through April 2018. Marvel Day at Sea combines the thrills of renowned Marvel comics, films and animated series, the excitement of a Disney Cruise to summon everyone’s inner Super Hero for the adventures that lie ahead during this unforgettable day at sea. Marvel Day at Sea from New York will be on seven- and eight-night Disney Magic Bahamian cruises departing on Oct. 6, 14, 28; Nov. 4, 11 and 18, 2017. All cruises will include a stop at Disney’s private island Castaway Cay and Port Canaveral, Fla., with a day at the Walt Disney World Resort. Marvel Day at Sea will be on one seven-night Canadian Coast cruise departing from New York on Oct. 21, 2017, with stops at Charlottetown, Sydney and Halifax.

The 2018 Marvel Day at Sea sailings depart from Miami on Jan. 7, 21; Feb. 4, 18; March 18; April 1, 15 and 29. The five-night cruises include a stop at Castaway Cay and either Cozumel, Mexico, or Grand Cayman.

Marvel Day at Sea, premieres this week on the Disney Magic this week, and today we’re excited to share glimpse at the day’s epic finale. For the first time ever, Marvel Super Heroes and Villains will face-off in an incredibly exciting battle at sea!

During an action-packed deck show spectacular like guests have never seen before, incredible stunts, special effects and pyrotechnics put them right in the middle of the thrilling Marvel Universe along with more than a dozen of their favorite Marvel Super Heroes. Let’s set the scene …

Tony Stark is throwing an exclusive gala on the high seas aboard the Disney Magic. The occasion: unveiling the latest Stark Industries technology.

The flashy celebration is in full swing and the party is abuzz as Super Heroes like Captain America, Black Widow and Hawkeye make their grand entrances to join Tony Stark, who is dressed for the occasion in his Iron Man suit. Of course, powerful new technology is a beacon for evil and plans quickly go awry.

The villainous Loki and some sinister cohorts invade the ship, and as a special guest at the gala, guests are in the middle of the ensuing action. In a whirlwind of excitement, they’ll witness heroic entrances by Thor, Black Panther, Spider-Man and Doctor Strange. Even Star Lord, Gamora and Groot will join this ultimate confrontation of Super Heroes and Villains.

Now that’s some super-charged celebration! Whether guests are lifetime Marvel fans, a brand-new fans or just love the idea of being in the middle of a sensational stunt spectacular, they need to be at this party.

Port Adventures that guests pre-reserved in Tortola and St. Thomas will automatically be removed from your cruise activities, while those for Castaway Cay will remain as scheduled. Likewise, pre-reserved onboard activities like Palo Brunch, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and beverage tastings are being adjusted to fit this revised itinerary. Should guests wish to explore Port Adventure opportunities featured on this revised itinerary, please visit the My Cruise Activities section of our website at www.disneycruise.com this Friday, when all of the shore excursions and onboard activities are expected to be available on the site.
