This Friday, May 12, “Happily Ever After” presented by Pandora Jewelry will take its place in Disney theme park history by becoming the third nighttime fireworks spectacular to ever blast off at Magic Kingdom® Park. Disney Parks Blog are hosting a #DisneyParksLIVE stream of the show’s debut this Friday, starting at 8:55 p.m. ET.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will start earlier than ever this year, with parties running on Aug. 25 & 29; Sept. 1, 7, 10, 12, 15, 17, 19, 22, 24, 26, & 29; Oct. 1, 3, 5, 6, 9, 10, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20, 22, 24, 26, 27, 29 & 31; and Nov. 1. The event will feature trick-or-treating, the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular stage show, Mickey’s “Boo-to-You” Halloween Parade and “Happy HalloWishes.” Guests of all ages are also welcome to dress up for the party.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will be held Nov. 9, 10, 12, 14, 16, 17, 26 & 28; and Dec. 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 10, 12, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21 & 22. The party will feature Mickeys’ Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, “Holiday Wishes,” “A Frozen Holiday Wish,” and much more.*

The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS) today reported quarterly earnings for its second fiscal quarter ended April 1, 2017. Diluted earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter increased 15% to $1.50 from $1.30 in the prior-year quarter. Excluding certain items affecting comparability(1), EPS for the quarter increased 10% to $1.50 from $1.36 in the prior-year quarter. EPS for the six months ended April 1, 2017 increased to $3.05 from $3.04 in the prior-year period. Excluding certain items affecting comparability(1), EPS for the six months increased 2%.

Today we’re sharing another behind-the-scenes look at the construction of Pandora – The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park. In this video, members of the project team take us along as they search the globe for inspiration for the new land’s look and feel.
Imagineers give us a look at their research trips to Bali and Jakarta, where they traveled to study carving and weaving methods from local artisans. The artistic methods they learned there were later used as inspiration for artwork you’ll soon find throughout the land, such as 20-foot-tall woven totems that appear throughout the land to represent different clans of the Na’vi. International landscapes were also studied to find inspiration for the floating mountains, thick forests, rivers, waterfalls and streams.
