A new life-size gingerbread display inspired by the Jersey Shore is serving up holiday treats this year at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn. The “gingerbread stand” is reminiscent of a New Jersey boardwalk concession complete with ice cream cones, cookies, stollen bread and gingerbread house kits. Sweet wreaths and Mickey- and Minnie-shaped gingerbreads decorate the stand thatÕs made of 674 gingerbread shingles. The delightful scent of gingerbread fills the lobby of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa at the Walt Disney World Resort where this Victorian gingerbread house is on display for the holidays. Grand Floridian pastry chefs create the 16-foot-high dream house with 1, 050 pounds of honey, 600 pounds of powdered sugar, 800 pounds of flour, 140 pints of egg whites and 180 pounds of apricot glaze.
