Fresh from collecting an Emmy Award last night for Outstanding Children’s Program, the cast of “Wizards of Waverly Place” were greeted with rock-star adulation today at the D23 Expo at the Anaheim Convention Center.
Throngs of screaming, bouncing adolescents (and their parents) repeatedly shouted their affection — We Love You! — and held aloft hand-written signs declaring, well, pretty much the same sentiment. That is, when the fans weren’t snapping enough photographs to make the paparazzi jealous.
Young aficionados of the Disney Channel show viewed the new season’s premiere episode and had the chance to pose questions of the Disney Channel’s stars, Selena Gomez, David Henrie, Jake T. Austin, Jennifer Stone and Maria Canals-Barrera.
