After the scripted spiel the first guy ran through, I was sceptical, expecting a timeshare sales pitch. Then I was transferred to some woman who sounded very friendly and talked really fast about how all my Visa transactions were guaranteed, and such and that if I wasn't happy with the vacation information I received from them that I could cancel - sounded like a pain in the butt. I told her I wasn't interested in paying the $289/person one-time registration fee to "guarantee" my vacation, but she was really pushy and kept trying to get me to provide the credit card expiry date - this was when I decided it was a scam! I told her I was not comfortable giving her any cc info, and she even complimented me for being a "well-eductated consumer", but went right back on talking real fast and asking for the expiry date again. She immediately hung up the phone and called her credit card provider, who ensured it would not be processed. (574.00) Please understand, these people are really convincing.
