Shanghai issues etiquette guide for Disneyland visitors

As the opening date for the highly anticipated Shanghai Disneyland nears, fans of Mickey and the gang are being reminded to behave.

Shanghai’s municipal government has issued an etiquette guide aimed at locals planning to visit the new park, due to open on June 16 in the city’s Pudong district.

First look INSIDE Shanghai Disneyland

Anticipation is rife for the grand opening of Shanghai Disney, just weeks away in June – but a select lucky few have already had a sneak peek inside the spectacular park itself.
Never-before-seen pictures show hoards of eager fans exploring the gigantic 963-acre amusement park, which cost $5.5billion (£3.8billion) to build, as part of its six-week-long trial period, which started on May 7.

Crowds swarm Disney Town in Shanghai ahead of Disneyland opening

It’s still six weeks to Shanghai’s long-awaited official opening of Disneyland, but throngs of visitors hit the smaller peripheral Disney Town that opened over the weekend. Disney Town is part of the upcoming $5.5 billion 963-acre Disneyland in Shanghai — the U.S. conglomerate’s first theme park in mainland China, outside of its smaller Hong Kong park.

Photos – Tourists get a glimpse of Shanghai Disney Resort TWO MONTHS before the official opening

It’s not open for two months but some lucky fans have already seen the Shanghai Disney Resort up close.

Thousands of tourists flocked to the newly opened Disney Resort train station and boarded trains to the Disneytown area before the theme park’s official unveiling.

Disney Needs a Cast of 10,000 for Its New Magic Kingdom in Shanghai

Zhou Jian, a 26-year-old folk dancer, dreams of a stage career, and he believes the Magic Kingdom can help him get there. Zhou recently made the 14-hour journey by train from Shanxi, China, to attend a jobs fair in Shanghai, where he hopes to land work at Walt Disney Co.’s 963-acre, $5.5 billion resort set to open June 16.
