Starting later this month, guests will have the chance to see the beloved star from Disney Junior’s hit animated series “Doc McStuffins” when they visit Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park at Walt Disney World® Resort.

In addition to her appearances at Disney’s Hollywood Studios®, the popular toy doctor will make daily visits to Disney’s Animal Kingdom to meet with Guests and sign autographs. With her handy stethoscope in hand, she’ll stop by every day just outside the veterinarian clinic at Rafiki’s Planet Watch. While there, little ones can also learn a little about conservation and how the vets care for the animals that live at the park. And while preschoolers love the train ride to Rafiki’s Planet Watch, it also gives parents a few minutes to relax before the next adventure.

Disney Junior’s Peabody Award-winning animated series “Doc McStuffins” follows the story of six-year-old Doc McStuffins who aspires to be a doctor like her mom and runs a clinic for stuffed animals and broken toys. Recently renewed for a fifth season, the series showcases the hallmarks of great Disney storytelling – fantasy and wish fulfillment – and models compassion and good health for kids age 2-7. NEW ANIMATED PRESCHOOL SERIES, KATE & MIM-MIM, SET TO PREMIERE ON DISNEY JUNIOR ON FRIDAY, DECEMBER 19TH AT 8:00 PM ET/PT

This holiday season, the fantastical imaginations of one family will twirl to life on Disney Junior U.S. with the launch of Kate & Mim-Mim.  Premiering on December 19th at 8:00 PM ET/PT, Kate & Mim-Mim is a new animated series created by the award-winning husband and wife duo, Scott and Julie Stewart, with the help of their own children’s creative fantasies.  Based on their own daughter Kate, Kate & Mim-Mim tells the story of a feisty five-year-old who together with her toy rabbit Mim-Mim travels to the fantasy world of Mimiloo, where Mim-Mim comes alive as a larger-than-life playmate.

High-spirited and smart, all Kate needs for her great adventures is her vivid imagination and her funny bunny best friend, Mim-Mim. So whenever Kate needs to solve a problem at home, she travels to the magical world of Mimiloo where anything can happen and no problem is too big for a big thinker and her big bunny.  Here, Kate can be and do anything, from being a princess, playing cowgirl or leading a pirate treasure hunt – the only limits are the little girl’s imagination.  With a different challenge every day, Kate and Mim-Mim have extraordinary adventures with their special Mimiloo friends.  By the time Kate and Mim-Mim’s adventure is over, Kate has a clever solution to her puzzle and can’t wait to get home to tell her mom and dad all about it.

Exploring the preschool themes of friendship, teamwork, adventure and problem solving, Kate & Mim-Mim was created by a real-life family, for families, encouraging children to use their imaginations and work together to solve any problem, no matter how big.

“We’re so excited to bring this world of extraordinary children’s imagination to homes across America this holiday season,” said Kate & Mim-Mim creators, Scott and Julie Stewart.  “Kate & Mim-Mim brings with it a message to preschoolers of inspiration and dreaming big, complete with a big bunny hug in every episode.”

“With great storylines and loveable characters, Disney Junior is the perfect home for Kate & Mim-Mim,” said Bob Higgins, Executive Producer and Executive Vice President Creative and Production, FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment.  “Supported by a phenomenal team of artists and writers, this visually inviting, heartfelt and very funny show is sure to be enjoyed by the entire family.”

The premiere episode of Kate & Mim-Mim will debut on Disney Junior U.S. at 8:00 PM ET/PT on Friday, December 19th, with a special holiday themed episode, A Christmas Wish, to immediately follow at 8:30 PM ET/PT .  In A Christmas Wish, it’s a stormy Christmas Eve and Kate worries that her dad won’t get home in time to put the star on the Christmas tree. In Mimiloo, Kate tells her friends all about Christmas, and everyone is excited to send a wish to Santa Claus.  But when a blizzard stops their letters in their tracks, it looks like Christmas will be ruined!

Following the airing of A Christmas Wish, the series will continue airing with subsequent episodes Monday–Thursday at 8:00 PM ET/PT, as well as Saturday–Sunday at 4:30 PM ET/PT.

Kate & Mim-Mim is produced and developed by Nerd Corps Entertainment.  FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment holds the exclusive worldwide TV distribution and licensing rights to the property outside of Canada.
