Hey there!

My name is Heather Holley. I’m 24 years old and live in Chattanooga, TN where I work as a promotions editor for the local ABC affiliate.  I’m married to a fantastic man who always supports me… no matter what crazy idea I have at the moment. My hobbies and interest include Disney, bellydance, video and tattoos.

I’ve always loved Disney and it will always be a huge part of my life. My first trip to Walt Disney World was when I was 4 years old. Since then I have gone once a year. I did the Disney College Program in 2009 and was part of the opening team of The American Idol Experience. That experience ended, but something far more magical happened in front of the Haunted Mansion in 2011. My husband proposed to me at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party while we were dressed as Jack and Sally (from “The Nightmare Before Christmas”.) We are currently Annual Pass Holders and I can’t wait for our next trip home!

My favorite Disney characters include: Jack Skellington, Stitch, Jessica Rabbit, Goofy, and Belle.

My favorite attractions are: The Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain, and Pirates of the Caribbean

I am 24 years old and recently married to the love of my life and a fellow Disney enthusiast. We are blessed to live in Central Florida only minutes from the gates of the parks of Walt Disney World. As an annual pass holder, you can find me wandering the parks, taking random pictures, finding what is new, and enjoying the classic parts of my favorite place in the world. As a former cast member, I was gifted with the opportunity to see the parks from the other point of view and learn plenty of history about the company and the resort. As well as pick up on some great tidbits that I still use and share to make each visit to the parks more and more enjoyable. In my column “Where Wishes on Stars Come True” I hope to share some of this history, some of the tidbits, and some of the things that make these parks, time and time again, the most visited theme parks world. Thanks for reading and remember, “It’s kinda fun to do the impossible!”

My love of all things Disney started so early, I can’t even tell you how it happened, it has always just been there.  It could have been the trips with my parents to Walt Disney World in the late 70’s and 80’s, or watching “The Wonderful World of Disney” with my dad on television, but Disney has always seemed to be a part of who I am!

Besides those first few trips with my parents, I have visited Walt Disney World as a school age child, a teenager marching down Main Street USA with Magic Music Days, a new college graduate, and as a mom. Today my Mouseketeer gang includes my husband, our three school age sons and our little toddler princess.  We visit Walt Disney World at least once a year, and in 2009 we became members of Disney Vacation Club. We often travel with friends and extended family, and we love trying to experience something new on each and every trip.  From a kid’s pirate cruise to a runDisney event, Walt Disney World has something for everyone. While I know I’ll never get to do it all, I certainly enjoy trying!

We are a true Disney loving family. Someone is always watching a Disney movie, pretending to be a princess or Buzz Lightyear, or making Mickey shaped pancakes! We enjoy bringing little touches of Disney into our home and daily lives.

While not planning my next Disney vacation (or helping someone else plan theirs!) I work as an RN on a busy labor and delivery unit, shuffle my 4 kids to school and activities, cheer for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and if I can find a few minutes of time, I love a good book!  Life is super busy around our house, and sometimes a little chaotic, but we get though it with a little pixie dust and a daily dose of Disney!

My name is Jennifer Romano, and I have been writing for WDW Daily News for the past few years. I enjoy writing, and I have been a high school English teacher for nine years in New Orleans, LA. A few years ago, my husband and I decided to move to Orlando, and finally in 2013, we made our dream into a reality! We bought a house right behind Magic Kingdom, and we can see the fireworks from our front porch. We love living in Orlando, and we visit WDW on a daily basis. My love of WDW was fostered at an early age when my parents took my brother and I on dozens of trips to the Vacation Kingdom of the World. Since we have moved, I have fulfilled another dream of becoming a cast member. I am a tour guide on The Great Movie Ride at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and I am thrilled to be a part of making magic for our guests on a daily basis. We are truly living the dream, and I hope to share our adventures with all of our readers. Until next time, have a magical day, and keep moving forward!

Laurie Schaerer – WDW Daily News – Writer

laurie sGrowing up, I looked forward to watch Disney’s Wonderful World of Color with my family every Sunday night.  In 1971, I got my first taste of Disney magic when my parents took me to Disneyland, and then to Disney World in 1975.  I was hooked, and have been to Disney World 15 more times, and every year since 2007.  I always have to be planning a Disney vacation.
I hope you’ll enjoy reading my articles as much as I enjoy writing about Disney. There are so many aspects of  Disney to write about that I sometimes don’t know where to begin, but here I go.   I hope you’re able to take a moment to relax and relive a part of the magic as you read each edition of the WDW Daily Newsletter.

Hello there!

My name is Emma, and I am a 15-year-old Disney freak living in the Midwest. I love everything Disney- the parks, the movies, the music, and most of all, the story behind the company. Walt Disney is such an inspiration to me, and I am constantly astonished that one man could create something so incredible. Both of my older siblings have worked at Walt Disney World, and I definitely plan on doing the Disney College Program as soon as I can. I am currently an Annual Pass Holder, which I’m so excited about because that means even more trips to Disney!

Over the years, I’ve been fortunate enough to visit WDW ten times. Last year, my family and I took a grand trip around the western United States and even managed to fit Disney in that trip- we went to Disneyland! It was such a magical experience, and I hope to be able to visit again sometime soon. Right now, we have a WDW trip planned for July 2014 and (fingers crossed) another for my 16th birthday in October 2014.
Besides Disney, I also love reading, doing crafty things (knitting, sewing, etc.), and photography, but my passion for Disney trumps everything else!

I am so excited to be a part of the WDW Daily News staff. Disney is such an important part of my life, and I think that it’s amazing that something like the internet can connect people that are affected by Disney. Until next time, have a magical day!

Hi guys! My name is Morgan Turner and I am a huge Disney nerd! I’ve been visiting Disney World since I was 3 years old and I’ve even made the treck over to Disneyland Paris. Now I’m living my dream and I work at Walt Disney World on the railroad. Just a little info about me, I’m from Virginia but I spent most of my childhood in Lexington, KY. After a move to Minnesota I made my way back south to Tennessee for college. After working a few odd jobs after I graduated I finally got the nerve to apply to Disney World. After a whirlwind 2 weeks I’m finally here and I love my job!

My favorite characters are the princesses and have been since I was a little girl. My favorite princess is Princess Tiana and I always make a point to stop by and see her when I’m visiting Magic Kingdom. My favorite park is the Magic Kingdom where I’m lucky enough to work! I’m not much of a ride girl but I have a ton of autograph books that prove my character tracking abilities are on point haha. In my downtime when I’m not park hopping I love to bake and crochet and travel. That’s me in a nutshell! Come see me on the train 🙂
